Jaguar Restaurant

We went for lunch today June 13th. We were celebrating 2 Milestones: My daughter's 12th Grade Graduation and my 60th Birthday. Paul Vargas greeted us warmly and was very attentive. He informed us of the specials and checked on us during the meal. Jeney and Adrian were very prompt in serving us and were very personable as well. The food was amazing and very fresh. We ordered chicken chaufas and grilled chicken sandwiches. The appetizer was quesadillas and were very delicious as well; even our lemonades tasted really fresh. We will return very soon.

MEH Visited on a Sunday at 7:30pm and the restaurant was completely empty, which felt telling. Everything seemed very basic, not the kind of experience you’d expect for these prices. The food, both spicy and regular ceviche, was okay but pretty basic and not memorable. My Old Fashioned was expensive and didn’t have much alcohol. The service was polite but nothing special. One thing I noticed was that they charge for the cancha, which is a snack most similar restaurants offer for free. If that’s their approach, that’s fine, but it makes the place feel like everything is an extra charge. In short, nothing was really bad, but there’s nothing that would make me want to return. For these prices, you can find better places nearby.

Easily one of the best Miami Spice experiences I’ve had. Every dish was delicious, and the cocktails were excellent. If you go, don’t skip the calamari, it was absolutely outstanding. The homemade hot sauce deserves a special mention. It was so flavorful with the perfect amount of heat. After I told Paul how much I loved it, he let me know they actually sell bottles of their homemade hot sauce, so I ended up taking one home. I can’t wait to use it! The only downside was the service at the beginning of my visit. My original server disappeared for quite a while and never came back to check on my table. After waiting, I flagged down another waiter, Paul, who immediately stepped in, took my order, and made sure I was taken care of for the rest of my meal. He completely turned the experience around. My original server eventually came back toward the end of the meal, but by then it was a little too late. Overall, the incredible food, great drinks, and Paul’s exceptional service made this a fantastic experience. I would absolutely come back, and I highly recommend Jaguar during Miami Spice. In my opinion, it’s one of the best Miami Spice restaurants in Miami.

The churrasco steak, with its delicious sauce, was much more tender than the Picanha. The cheesecake was a bit a bit off-putting to me, as it was harder than usual and the caramel sauce was too thick. On the bright side, the fried rice was my favorite, and you should request for a spicy sauce to go with it.

We loved this place so much, we ended up going three times in one week! The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, the atmosphere had a great vibe, and the food was truly the highlight. There’s a wide variety of options to suit every palate, and they do an excellent job handling large groups,which was a huge plus for us. Definitely check them out if you’re in Coconut Grove!
