Absolutely excellent Sunday roast! Really generous portions so come hungry. The oysters were unreal and the soft serve yum yum. We had the catch of the day, roast chicken and porchetta. Great trimmings. Just an overall excellent warm and delightful delicious experience. Kudos to the chefs and service team.
Amazing Sunday Roast . We had the sharing roast for 2 . It’s more than enough food for 3 people . The roast potatoes are like nothing you have ever had before , gold , crispy and so well seasoned. The Beef Rump and Cheek were tender and bursting with flavour . The Porcetta was perfectly cooked and had the best cracking I’ve ever had in a restaurant. The chicken is based in a herb sauce . The sauce and the chicken were so fresh and tender. Enormous Yorkshire puddings were so crispy , cauliflower was creamy and the carrots were tender and perfectly grilled and then the gravy/Jus . The gravy is so good I drank it like a shooter after my meal . It’s is incredibly good. We had an instant where I ordered a pint of lager and never received it . This was really handled well and i give props to the staff for making it right. I can only give this restaurant the highest possible score . My opinion: BEST Sunday Roast in London .

Food was good overall and everything was cooked well.
Beef tartare with prawn crackers was a revelation and I still think about it often.
Went during opening so some things were still being ironed out like the mixed grill was cold when it arrived however I’d imagine that’s not a problem now.

Loved it! Don't get confused with the restaurant downstairs! Island is upstairs!
All staff very good and knew their stuff able to explain dishes and drinks as well as which dishes qualified for our special offer as we booked through FirstTable which I also recommend to get 50% off food bill. We had Tbone huge and delicious and delicious sauce, sides of veg and salads and a selection of starters small bites. Based on both food and service i would come back again!

I had a few hours to kill before heading back to Spain. As I now live abroad one of the things I miss about the UK is a good Sunday Roast. So I did some research around the KingsX area and this seemed well thought of. The service staff were great and very attentive. I settled for the roast beef and waiting with a glass of Diet Coke. Let’s get straight to it … the food. The beef was good, but nothing stunning but the whole plate just didn’t ‘hit’. I finally decided what the issue was … the gravy was just too rich and ‘marrowy’ (hope that makes sense). So in general, it was ‘ok’ but I’ve had far better in London without the high-end prices (see bill). A regrettable choice.
