Frali Gourmet was absolutely delicious from start to finish. We ordered the caprese salad, which was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced.
They also brought out bread with a pepper salsa sauce that was incredible, such a standout touch that we could have eaten on its own.
For our entrées, we had the lasagna and a build-your-own pasta dish. I chose fusilli with the Carretterra sauce, and it was cooked to perfection. The sauce was rich, flavorful, and absolutely delicious.
Overall, everything was fresh, well-prepared, and full of flavor. We will definitely be back. Only wish they served warm bread!
This place is the definition of a hidden gem. It’s very casual and focuses on making really good food. Everything is made from scratch, from the pastas to the sauces to the mozzarella, and you can absolutely taste the difference. They also use high quality ingredients with imported meats and cheeses from Italy, which takes everything up a notch.
We started with the lasagna, and it was incredible. Fresh, wide sheets of pasta layered with rich bolognese, creamy béchamel, and parmigiano. Incredible! It’s the kind of dish you keep talking about long after the meal is over.
The pappardelle with Amatriciana sauce was just as delicious. The sauce was made with pancetta, garlic, and pecorino. And the two huge meatballs? Over the top in the best way.
Every bite had us doing that “wow, this is good” look across the table.
What makes it even better is the setup. It’s part restaurant, part little Italian market. You can grab their fresh pastas and sauces to take home, which is both convenient.
It’s not fancy, and that’s exactly the charm. Great food, friendly service, and reasonable prices.
This is my new favorite restaurant and I don't even live here. The restaurant vibes are amazing it feels like a "home style" restaurant. The staff is amazing and the food is phenomenal. The bread and sauce that come to the table are to die. The prices are perfect and the dessert is absolutely delicious.
My daughter and I just happened to find Frali and feel in love with it. I had a hot panini and she got chicken Alfredo. Get chicken was excellently cooked and tender. Everything was delicious and we got a tiramisu and triple chocolate dessert to go. I'm not sure what was in the triple chocolate one but I loved the crispy parts. My daughter will be moving to Savannah in a couple months and we will definitely frequent here when we visit!
Like Sitting in Nonna’s Kitchen
Frali Gourmet is the most authentic Italian cooking we’ve found in Savannah. It isn’t a fancy spot, but that’s the charm—it truly feels like you’ve sat down in an Italian grandmother’s kitchen.
Everything is fresh, homemade, and delicious. I specifically loved the vodka pasta with chicken and the pesto pasta with chicken. You can really taste the quality in the handmade noodles. Also, the bread service with the red pepper sauce is addictive—don't skip it!
Since it’s also an Italian store, you can buy their fresh pasta, house-made sauces, and other imported goods to take home. It’s a cozy, no-frills experience that focuses entirely on the food. We will definitely be coming back.
