I like the vibe of the place. Big bar it he middle, outdoor seating, cozy booths around the sides. The booths are QUITE cozy... My husband and I are extra extra large folks... so it did make for a slightly crowded experience. But it didn't take away from the food. I looked at the menu before I went, and KNEW I had to have the Everything Bagel tini! I LOVE a savory drink, and they are few and far between. It was tasty... Then, we proceeded to order what felt like everything on the menu... The cucumbers, the egg plant, the falafel, the lamb butter with horseradish beets, the whipped feta with honey, the kanpachi crudo, the fried bread, lamb and beef manti. We ordered only one main course... the pastrami lamb shank, and it was AMAZING!!!!! I do wish they coursed it out a little better. Everything came at what felt like the exact same time... I'm glad the plates were very small, but you eat on the same ones through the whole meal, so there was definitely a lot of mixing food on the plates. We had to share the Baklava apple pie for dessert, too. Paired the whole thing with a couple of interesting wines (one Greek and one Slovakian) - and I even enjoyed a Raki to end the night. (Everyone tried it. I'm the only one who enjoyed it! lol) I think this would be a really fun place to go and get a seat at the bar, try a few things, have a few cocktails. It wasn't overly expensive, and definitely not even a little bit fussy. It's the same group that does Emmer and Rye. Fun times all around!
