What an incredible dining experience! From the moment we walked in, the staff was warm, welcoming, and attentive. The food was absolutely outstanding—every dish was beautifully presented, fresh, and full of flavor. I can’t wait to come back and try more of the menu. Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for amazing food, exceptional service, and a memorable experience!
It brought back memories from the 90’s originals. The iconic South Beach location will forever be missed with its unforgettable sour apple martini and grand space. Sigh… We noticed that this Bal Harbor venue is too crammed up and claustrophobic when moving around the interior part. Too bad it’s not spacious. Looks like they rushed to open because not even a website is available nor menus online to know what to expect.
On its third night the struggles were so noticeable but we were forgiving of the very long wait. We were having a good time and Rosa was extremely apologetic and accommodating trying to make it up to us with complimentary beverage and dessert.
The crackling calamari salad took us back, it’s still good! The original portions of the 90’s were grandiose but we are now living in skinny times and fiscally conservative restaurants do what’s right!
All the dumplings were scrumptious, any of them will leave you wanting more. We tried The Szechwan beef, mushroom pasta, beef noodles, asparagus fried rice, the sorbet and fruits and molten lava cake ending… all choices left us satisfied and certainly promised to come back for more. We already have plans for the next time.
We had brunch at the new China Grill location in Bal Harbour and it did not disappoint! From the moment we sat down, the staff was excellent — attentive, warm, and genuinely happy to have us there. You could tell they take pride in the new space.
Food-wise, we were blown away. The Singapore vegetable with salmon crudo was fresh, light, and so flavorful — a perfect way to start. We also got the dynamite grilled dumpling tacos, which were a fun, creative twist and packed with flavor. Every dish felt thoughtfully prepared.
Can't wait to come back and try more of the menu. Highly recommend if you're in the area!
Returning after a long hiatus felt like reconnecting with an old favorite. The service was exceptional—warm, attentive, and truly first-class. Every member of the staff went above and beyond to make our evening enjoyable. Outstanding hospitality like this is becoming rare, and it made our return even more memorable. We can’t wait to come back. Our server AJ ( From the 305) was the best. Took care of us with exceptional care.
My favorite Asian fusion restaurant from the late 90s is back. Jeff Chosorow brought back the core team of Steven Haas and Martine Vaval.
The food was as good as ever.
We had all the favs from lobster pancakes, spicy shrimp dumplings, Peking duck, steak and of course the banana box. Everything was delicious.
Can’t wait to come back.
