To all my vegan friends listen up, I will save you time. Don’t go here. As a vegan it is already hard enough to get vegan food especially in an restaurant. 3 reasons why you shouldn’t go here.
Nr. 1: The menu is completely confusing. Yes, for people with allergies it is really helpful, because there is like a legend there, so symbols for different things such as milk, muscles, soja etc. But you won’t find anything on the menu that is vegan and nourishing. As I called over the waiter to asked if I could customise my order by removing ingredients or just ordering noodles/rice with vegetables, I got put on hold as she sent another waiter over. He explained, or rather bluntly said I would have to order the rice with aubergine. When I pointed out that it had the symbol for muscles on it, he just pointed out that it was vegetarian. He went on, but then the first waiter came back to collect our orders, so I just asked her again if she could write that my meal should not have muscles. She went away and sent a different waiter over. At this point I am stressed, kinda hangry and absolutely confused, she came over, explained to my friend that her sweet chilli chicken had no muscles in it and with that logic I asked if it was just there for cross contamination. My question was not answered, in fact she couldn’t tell me the answer, still aggressively saying stuff, then it is my turn, she for one stated that vegetarian is equal to vegan and two said that the symbol had the wrong colour for muscles, have in mind that there was only one light brown/ hazel colour with a triangle on it.
In the end my food was horrible, I got made a fool by waiters who couldn’t even be bothered to acknowledge my problem and my food was over 10£ for rice and aubergine that tasted not even edible.
The jasmine tea was cool tho, the rest wasn’t.
