I am going to give them 5 stars because the food was wonderful but service was lacking! We enjoyed the atmosphere and getting together. We asked about a bar menu when we sat down and was told the bar menu is just for dinner but we could tell her what we wanted and she would get it, later she brings a bar menu like she didn’t just tell us there wasn’t one for lunch. Hostess stand seem distracted as well so we couldn’t tell what was happening with service today. Food was very good, hot, fresh and we enjoyed it
I had the all you can eat menu and I never regretted it. Worth the price! I ordered the Cowboy and Dynamite Sushi rolls and they are superb and all other food I tried are delicious. The dessert is also a must try! I had the Tempura Cheesecake and it was my new favorite! The ambiance is prestine and beautiful as well. Would definitely come back! Well recommended💙

Wako Japanese has only been open for about two months, and we had a great experience. The restaurant was very clean, and the bathroom was spotless, which is always something I notice.
My daughter ordered the all-you-can-eat sushi and said it was delicious and well worth the price. Her favorite was the Lover Roll.
I’m very picky when it comes to rice. I usually only eat fried rice, and even then, I’m not a fan of most restaurants’ fried rice—including this one. Fortunately, everything else we ordered was very good.
My only suggestion would be to serve a larger portion of the grilled vegetables, as they were tasty but the serving was a bit small.
The decor is beautiful, unique, and creates a really nice atmosphere. Overall, Wako is a great addition to the area, and I’m sure we will go again.

Excellent sushi and great service! The fish was fresh, the rolls were beautifully prepared, and everything came out quickly. The all-you-can-eat option is a fantastic value with plenty of variety. Clean restaurant, friendly staff, and a relaxed atmosphere. Easily one of my favorite Japanese restaurants in Chattanooga, and I’ll definitely be back.

Highest cleanliness (health inspection) sushi place in the area and you feel it when you walk in. Since it opened we have been here 3x for lunch, dinner, and then dinner again trying out both the all you can eat and a la carte. Outside of the beautiful atmosphere, all three times the food quality, presentation, and service has remained exceptionally consistent.
I’ve had issues with other places in the area because the sushi has not been as fresh, and on top of that, many others have had controversial food safety ratings. Though it might be higher than others in the area, you really do pay for what you get with a menu with many options.
I’m giving them grace with their team coordination and ordering system since they just opened and like any other restaurant it will take time. Definitely one of my new favorite spots in town.
