Additional Details
Town Restaurant is situated at 26-29 Drury Lane in Covent Garden. Chef Stevie Parle also operates another establishment, Motorino London, in Fitzrovia.
The restaurant is open Monday to Saturday from 12:00 to 22:00. It is particularly recommended for lunch (especially the weekday set menu for value), early dinner, and Saturday dining.
If you're travelling with a group and looking for somewhere that feels a little more contemporary than a traditional London pub, Town is a great choice.
The six of us came here for dinner while visiting from Australia, and it struck the right balance between being stylish without feeling pretentious. It's the sort of place that encourages you to order for the table, and that's exactly what we did. Sharing dishes worked brilliantly, especially as there were vegetarians and someone eating gluten-free in our group. There were plenty of thoughtful options, so everyone felt included rather than like an afterthought.
The standout? The crispy sage leaves. We ordered one bowl to share, but I could quite happily have eaten the whole thing myself.
The service was excellent throughout the evening. As our table became a little louder (perhaps fuelled by good company and a few bottles of wine!), the staff were warm, patient and never made us feel rushed.
One tip: keep an eye on the wine list. It's excellent, but it's very easy for the cost of the wine to overtake the food bill. We found that out the fun way. Maybe that's just because we're Aussies and we do enjoy a good bottle of wine.
It's definitely on the pricier side, but if you're celebrating or catching up with friends over a long dinner, it's money well spent. I'd happily book a table here again.
Lunch at Town.
Some fantastic food. Well cooked, quality produce. Really tasty. Top notch, friendly service in a cool, buzzy room.
£34 for a snack+ 3 courses is amazing value for Drury Lane/Covent Garden. We did add bread (great gravy dip) and another snack however it’s a proper bargain.
Available for lunch, early dinner and Saturdays.
We will be back, no doubt. Highly recommended.

chose Town for my birthday celebration, and it turned out to be the perfect choice. My friend and I were looking for a special restaurant in the heart of London, and Town exceeded all our expectations.
The menu is creative, refined, and far from ordinary, with plenty of options whether you are a meat lover, seafood enthusiast, or vegan. We started the evening with a glass of Prosecco before enjoying the set menu, and every course was beautifully presented and full of flavor.
The fish was exceptionally delicate and perfectly cooked, with a sauce so smooth and rich that it simply melted on the palate. The fresh radishes paired with the umami hummus made for a surprisingly elegant and refreshing starter. To finish, we enjoyed a silky panna cotta with strawberries that provided the perfect sweet ending to the meal.
What made the experience even more memorable was the warm atmosphere and attentive service, which made us feel genuinely welcome throughout the evening. Every detail felt thoughtfully considered, creating a dining experience that was both relaxed and sophisticated.
A wonderful place for a special occasion or simply for anyone who appreciates outstanding food. I would happily return and highly recommend Town to anyone visiting London.

This is a funny review for me to write. I came here just over a year ago - some (well travelled) friends were visiting from abroad and I had heard about this place when it was just opening so we made a reservation. Our reservation was on a Tuesday but it just so happened to fall the week after a few high profile rave reviews and was absolutely packed on the night we visited. The food was good, the decor impeccable, servers very nice but we waited ages for our food - and actually the time between each course got longer. They offered free drinks, champagne … like, you name it, they wanted to give it to us. But it was a work night and we all just wanted our food? The main courses eventually arrived after about 45 mins wait and no matter what you do, that will kill the vibe. The manager ended up comping our meal and all in all, okay it wasn’t a perfect evening but at least we felt they were truly sorry and they were generous about it!
I hadn’t been back until last night - and I’m so glad I gave it another chance. The decor is still impeccable, like no where I have been. It’s a really lovely space and can seat a lot of people. It has the buzz of central London that is so nice to experience and something I don’t do that much despite living here.
Our server, Jo, was incredible - attentive but casual, it was sort of like she was my friend’s mum and I was at her house for dinner.
The food was excellent - better than the first time. Every dish was flavourful and fresh. I’m vegan and my partner is vegetarian and Town has a whole vegan menu that demonstrates real thought. We had the potato sourdough, 100-acre radishes, piattonne beans, striatta aubergine, spring vegetable curry, carrots with smoked almonds, fir potatoes. There was more on the menu I wanted to try but one can only order so much! Everything was so delicious and worked well together. I also had a great mescal margarita.
The only negatives are: it could have been busier - it is a large space and the vibe was decent but by about 10pm it was feeling quite empty (it was a Friday). But maybe not super surprising given Town is a splurge meal and we are where we are in the cost of living crisis. And the only vegan dessert is a lemon sorbet, which I did try and it was nice (although very, very sweet), but you will never convince me that sorbet is a good dessert. I hear they are developing a vegan chocolate mousse, which I think we can all agree is a proper dessert.

Great interiors.
Good service but it could be more curated based on the price you pay.
Food is good but simple. We had risotto with bone marrow, the risotto was too lemony and too cooked for my liking. We had stake which was perfectly cooked. The potato cooked in fat and the squash fries and I would say one of the two is enough.
With no drinks we paid 80£ each per 2 starters, one main, 2 sides and 1 dessert.
