We had a wonderful experience at Thompson Square Bagels in the East Village, and it’s definitely a place I’d be happy to return to.
From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming, with a cozy, neighborhood feel that immediately puts you at ease. The service was friendly and relaxed, even though the place was quite busy when we arrived. There was a steady flow of customers, and while seating isn’t always guaranteed, the overall vibe remained pleasant and comfortable. 🙌🏻 The selection of bagels and spreads was very solid, offering something for everyone. Most importantly, the bagels themselves were incredibly fresh and absolutely delicious. They had great texture and flavor, clearly made with care and quality ingredients. The coffee was also excellent!!! And I love good coffee 😅 flavorful and well prepared. making it a perfect match for the bagels.
Even with the crowd, the space felt lively in a positive way rather than overwhelming. It’s the kind of place that feels like a local favorite for a reason: simple, tasty, and consistently good.
So!! Thompson Square Bagels offers great food, a friendly atmosphere, and a genuine neighborhood experience. We really enjoyed it and will definitely be coming back again.❤️❤️
After many years in New York, I finally tried Tompkins Square Bagels, and it absolutely did not disappoint. Easily one of the best bagels I’ve had in the city so far. I kept it simple with a toasted salted bagel with butter, and it tasted incredibly fresh, perfectly chewy, and warm in all the right ways. My boyfriend got an everything bagel with three eggs, cheddar cheese, and bacon, and it was just as solid. Classic, no-frills, done right. Definitely living up to the hype. 🥯
I Have literally been all over the World……..very very Rarely have I run across such sublime food. Bagels made on premises, cream cheese concoctions exquisitely created….!!! And the workers so upbeat, eager to please. All with a work ethic that use to be the norm in this Country. And when everyone from Amazon, Netflix…..other eateries nickel and diming you to death by skimping on products and services , that NOT THE CASE HERE!! More than enough cream cheese on that incredible bagel. Like me trying to describe watching the Amalfi Coast slip by from a ferry. Or watching the traffic on the Venice Grand Canal from the outdoor roof of a tall building, you just have to be there to experience that my words could never fully describe….life is way to short to not experience the exquisite.
I understand orders can get mixed up or messed up especially at a busy place so when my bagels weren't toasted per my order it wasn't the end of the world but when I noticed the scallion cream cheese basically had no scallions in it I was a bit disappointed. It was just cream cheese, the entire bagel had 2 tiny pieces of scallions in it, I guess 1 piece for each half.
I remember at the 3rd ave location it was packed with bits of scallions. Maybe just an off day?
Okay but I have to talk about this sandwich 😭🔥
Shoutout to Aldo, for putting me ON because wow… I tried “The Stutto” and it was INSANE.
It’s made with chipotle chicken salad so it has that perfect little kick 🌶️—not too spicy, just enough to make it addictive. But the best part? He told me to get it on a French toast bagel… and OMG. That sweet + spicy combo is insane. The flavor??? 10/10. The vibe??? Elite.
I literally couldn’t stop eating it. Like every bite was better than the last.
If you ever go there, trust me… just get The Stutto. Thank me later 😌🥯
