The Rockefeller

I was in town on business and decided to try Rockefeller at Hermosa beach. I ordered steak frites and vegan chopped salad with avocados. Steak was a little chewy and not great to be honest, but chimichurri sauce sort of saved the it. Fries were good; well cooked, seasoned and crispy. Vegan salad was not great. I honestly do not recommend getting the vegan salad at all. Bunch of lettuce and nuts and grape (I think) and chickpeas piled up with microscopical amount of avocado. Dressing did not help this sad salad either. Yep, just don’t order it. Service was ok. The hostess was very professional and courteous.

Kristina and I had the ultimate brunch just a block up from the Hermosa Pier. We went for the skirt steak & eggs and the chicken and waffles—both were incredible. The real game-changer? Bottomless mimosas with a choice of orange, papaya, mango, or peach. Definitely the best way to kick off the day!

We enjoyed our dining very much so! Bailey our server was the best! Such a dynamic personality, and personable… you can’t teach that. She was efficient, and quickly attended to our needs, as needed. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was a vibe! And Bailey let us know that on Tuesday they have 2 DOLLAR burgers! We will be back very soon!!

Rockefeller is one of our favorite restaurants and the Hermosa location is always happening with a young fun crowd and relaxed atmosphere to fits perfectly with the great menu. The space is very open so you can feel you are at the beach and they always have specials and events going at all the locations. Some of our favorites are the burgers, fish tacos, chicken sandwich, steak salad or sandwich is bomb as their steak is great... it can be hard to decide because there are plenty of options, flatbreads, truffle fries or mac and cheese to die for. Don't forget about happy hour for a great value. Rockefeller is a locals' favorite that will keep you coming back again and again because its a fun spot with good food and good times.
