Had lunch here with my partner and father in law. Service was excellent. The maitre D was incredible even when it started to rain out front he had full control. The food outstanding and in this day and age the value for money was exceptional. I already can’t wait to re visit next year. Outstanding
We had a fantastic meal at The Mariners Public House in Rock and couldn’t fault a thing. The Dog’s Pollock was absolutely incredible – perfectly cooked, packed with flavour, and easily one of the best dishes we’ve had in Cornwall. The fish and chips were equally outstanding, with beautifully flaky fish, light crispy batter, and excellent chips. The quality of the food was exceptional throughout.
What really made the visit special was the service. Every member of staff was warm, welcoming, attentive, and genuinely friendly, making us feel looked after from the moment we arrived. The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting, with stunning views across the Camel Estuary adding to the experience.
As dog owners, we especially appreciated how dog-friendly the pub is. Our dog was made to feel just as welcome as we were, with treats and water available and plenty of fuss from the team. It’s wonderful to find somewhere that combines top-quality food, excellent service, and a genuinely welcoming attitude towards dogs.
A perfect dining experience and somewhere we’ll will always return to. Highly recommended!

Had a fantastic evening meal to celebrate my 60th birthday. The restaurant and staff made us feel very welcome and the food was outstanding.A lovely touch no service charge was added which just made you want yo leave more that the normal 10%. How refreshing well done Paul Ainsworth a master class in how to run a high end pub.
Our head waiter was so friendly and made our evening. They had even bought a birthday card signed by all the staff. It's all about the small details. I will deffinabe going again. HIgHLY Recommend.

We had such a fantastic experience at The Mariners in Rock and couldn’t recommend it more highly. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted by Mario, who was absolutely lovely and attentive throughout our visit. Nothing was too much trouble — we asked to move tables and he handled it so kindly and efficiently.
The food was incredible, and the atmosphere made the whole experience even more special. It’s clear that the team really cares about creating a welcoming and memorable environment for their guests.
A big thank you to Mario and the whole team for such a wonderful visit — we’ll definitely be back!

Just perfect!! Me, Helen and our three dogs had an amazing experience at the Mariner. A polite, friendly, professional and yet very special service backed up with fantastic food in a stunning location. Worth every single penny [plus a little extra].. Its not very often that Helen and I have nothing bad to say, but we actually have nothing bad to say. The Mariners is worth the trip to Rock in it own right. Pay them a visit and you won't be disappointed..Happy Days!!.. enjoy..
