The Clumsies is an acclaimed all-day bar located in the heart of Athens, renowned for its innovative mixology and modern Greek plates. It's described as a three-storey 'pleasure palace' with a unique concept, including menus that are only legible under UV light. It has gained international recognition for its visionary bartenders and high-quality offerings.
Customers generally praise The Clumsies for its great and unique cocktails, with some highlighting the Passiflora Fumida and Mediterranean Gimlet as must-tries. Service is often described as top-notch and friendly, though some reviews mention inconsistency, particularly regarding the use of pre-mixed drinks for classics like the Negroni. The bar food, such as the corn fritters, is frequently noted as delicious. While the ambiance is generally appreciated, some found it underwhelming, and initial welcome for solo visitors could be less warm.
The Clumsies is known for its distinctive approach, including menus that require UV light to read. Its bartenders have been recognized as Greek World Class Winners, contributing to its reputation for exceptional mixology.
Based on customer reviews, a Tuesday evening around 9 pm allowed for easy seating. As an all-day bar, it caters to various times, but for a lively cocktail experience, evenings are ideal.
