Squidge

We came to Cutter & Squidge for their themed Miffy afternoon tea, which was £45 for 90 minutes. Overall, it was a nice experience, and the food was delicious. However they are quite cheeky with drinks - staff failed to explain that you are either allowed to have one single coffee for the entire 90 minutes, OR unlimited teas. We were told both standard teas and coffee were included but you could only have one coffee, whereas tea was unlimited. For £45 it is quite tight to not let us also have a single cup of tea after a latte - unlimited tea is the standard at afternoon tea, and this one is premium priced, so quite disappointing that if you’ve dared to have a single latte this isn’t available. It’s just a teabag in a pot it hardly costs the business a penny. Also worth noting the Miffy themed drinks or anything beyond standard tea & coffee isn’t included, for children who may be dissatisfied with this. They don’t cater to dietary restrictions either so keep that in mind and check the offering beforehand. The place is beautifully decorated and otherwise really worth a stop, just don’t get caught out like us!
