Michelle at the front desk is awesome & great at her job!
Gym is solid with plenty of class options.
Pool system is a bit chaotic - would recommend hotel guests get some sort of preference vs general members but that’s just soho house everywhere. The kids also can use the pool until 11:3 as a heads up and the pool temperature could be a little colder for the summer.
Food classic menu to most soho houses and is ok but the restaurants by it are incredible and all walking distance which is nice.
Overall front desk service is awesome and just really nice and welcoming. I do wish they were a little tighter on security / number of guests so the pool didn’t get slammed.
Ongoing service issues is starting to become the standard. The wait staff is often very difficult to get the attention of, even during slower periods. Once orders are finally placed, the wait time for both drinks and food is long.
Basic service standards are frequently missed…water is not offered, and we often have to repeatedly request essentials such as napkins and silverware. Overall, the place feels disorganized and chaotic, and it seems like the operations has declined.
At a genuine loss for words with the experience received in Soho House.
I was incorrectly charged for a meal on the rooftop and was told the issue had been fixed on the spot. Over two months later, I still haven't received the refund and had to repeatedly chase the team for answers. I was asked multiple times for information I'd already provided, sent screenshots of the charges, and followed up on numerous occasions, only to receive vague explanations and long periods of silence.
What is most frustrating is the complete lack of ownership and urgency in resolving such a simple issue. As someone who works in hospitality, I find it hard to understand how a straightforward refund can drag on for this long with no clear communication or accountability.
For a brand that positions itself as a premium hospitality experience, the customer service has been incredibly disappointing. Officially 2 months and a week later, I'm still waiting for this matter to be fully resolved.
At this point, I've spent more time chasing a refund than I did enjoying my entire visit, which says everything about the level of service I've received.
Stayed at this beautiful hotel for six weeks while my husband was working in Chicago and it was amazing. Everyone was so friendly and kind. Shout out to Shannon, Dini, Marcos, Blaze, Michelle, the women at Cowshed spa and I’m sure I am missing some. Just know that they are all amazing and take their work seriously. Back home and already missing it.
Best martini’s in Chicago. Not just the classics - the ones you can’t get anywhere else. The man to make it is Brandon. Brandon is a legendary mixologist - a true phenomenon. If you want a proper true Chicago experience. You go to SoHo you seek you Brandon on 5th floor and experience greatness. If you can get it - try to get a Tomatotini.
