We had the most outstanding experience at Salsify. I made a group booking, and from start to finish, everything was handled seamlessly. The team was incredibly proactive and attentive with their communication throughout the planning process.
The day before our reservation, I visited the restaurant to confirm our seating arrangements. Although it was outside of their operating hours, the staff graciously opened the restaurant for me, showed me the space, and even allowed me to choose our preferred seating area. This level of hospitality immediately set the tone for what was to come.
Rather than opting for the wine pairing, I asked for wine recommendations, where the team selected exceptional wines that complemented every dish perfectly.
The food was outstanding, the service was impeccable, and the overall experience exceeded our expectations. We had a truly memorable time and are already looking forward to our next visit.
This is an unforgettable experience, in a verry good way. I didn’t know I entered The Garden of Eden. Well, with Some differences: no tree of wisdom, no animals (living ones) and everyone had clothes on. The food however was what it would have been in a heavenly garden: no less then exquisite. Refreshing simple and beautiful, as well as creative, honoring the ingredients and caressing my taste buds in many nice and unexpected ways. The service lives up to it: knowledgeable, more then friendly, dangerously charming and lots of fun. The bubbels from Le Lude at the start blossomed in my mouth, opening up and refreshing my mouth. I took the wine pairing of ‘future champions’ (according to Salsify). Real good for a sort of wine tasting, a pleasure for all the stories that went along with each glas and far too much, even for me😅. Since it was evening, I couldn’t enjoy the view. Thank you to all, especially Eden, who really made my day by joining me in sheer fun when we met and had the opening ceremonie of hands cleansing. And Stanley, who I am sure will recite all wine-stories when awakened in the middle of the night. I sincerely hope he doesn’t talk in his sleep😇👍🏼 So, a sincere THANK YOU to all chefs and team for orchestrating a wonderful and delicious evening in every way possible.

Firstly, I have to say the food is fantastic, the wine list is impressive, and the location is beautiful. So why only three stars?
The main issue is portion size. Quite simply, there isn’t enough food to leave an average adult even slightly satisfied. If I walk out after a six-course lunch and my first thought is to grab a plate of chips next door at the Lawns, something isn’t right.
At this price point (around 1500R for food alone), I expect to leave feeling like I’ve had a proper meal. Instead, it feels like the restaurant is prioritising concept over substance. Fine dining doesn’t mean large portions, but it should still feel complete—and here, it just doesn’t.
I would even go as far as saying it comes across as slightly arrogant: as if the experience matters more than actually feeding your guests. People are willing to pay for exceptional food, but they also expect to be satisfied.
On top of that, some of the extras—like the hand-rinsing ritual and the introductory cocktail—feel unnecessary and a bit gimmicky rather than enhancing the experience.
In my view, the chef would do well to return to the basics: focus on delivering outstanding food in a way that leaves guests both impressed and satisfied.

Absolutely exceptional. Top tier dining. First of all; would like to thank all the lovely staff as they are all exceptional, but special thanks to Novely B who provided excellent wine recommendations and such kind service.
The food was exquisite, only superseded by the service. Can’t fault any of the dishes and the experience really makes it. I left with a warm heart of all who served us, and a full belly from all the food and delicious drink. We requested to move to the views of the mountain, and whilst they were fully booked they made it happen and it was so wonderful. The food was so good, special shoutouts to the Artichoke dish, the lamb and the oysters and the bread - I could go on. The wine was excellent, okay so it was all great! Will defo recommend to all we know, thank you novelly and all the amazing staff
