Restaurant Gordon Ramsay

This was an exceptional return to Restaurant Gordon Ramsey where we enjoyed stunning food and excellent service. Chef Kim Ratcharoen and her team produced amazing dishes inspired with touches of Asian flavours from Kim’s Thai background. Enrico and Silvia were so friendly and looked after us superbly all afternoon. We had the Menu Prestige that looked amazing on paper bur was incredible on the plate. A complimentary glass of bubbles started the day before a lovely surprise as Kim sent out a New dish for us to try and it was delicious. It was a Pea Hummus with flatbread. The menu then began with heavenly Morels and followed by the signature Lobster Ravioli. Then the amazing Turbot with a light touch of Thai curry. This led to our mains where we enjoyed the Pigeon and the Herdwick Lamb that came with an outstanding Lamb Cake. Before dessert Kim came out to see us which was lovely and while we were talking the desserts arrived. The Cremaux ( her take on a Ferrero Rocher) and a surprise yet stunning Lemon Soufflé. A coffee and Petit Fours ended a truly wonderful afternoon. On our way out we were able to visit the kitchen and personally thank the team. This was definitely one of our best visits to Restaurant Gordon Ramsey and hope it won’t be long before we return once more.

Visited in May while on vacation in London. As a huge Gordon Ramsay fan, eating here was one of the things I was most excited about, and I chose the tasting menu. It ended up being the highlight of my trip. Every dish was a work of art, the pacing of the meal was perfect, and the entire staff (for the most part) was warm and welcoming. My only disappointment was the sommelier. I asked two simple questions—whether they offered a wine pairing and whether they had lighter wines, since that’s what I prefer. He became noticeably impatient, saying, “Again, my question is…” and exchanged a look with my husband that made me feel like I was asking something ridiculous. I left that interaction feeling talked down to and like I didn’t belong there. Whether it was sexism, racism, or just poor service, it wasn’t what I’d expect from a Michelin-starred restaurant, especially one that prides itself on hospitality. Thankfully, that was my only negative interaction. The food was absolutely phenomenal, and I’d still recommend the restaurant. I just hope no one else is made to feel that way when they’re there to enjoy such a special experience.

Opened in Chelsea and awarded three Michelin stars in 2001, it has held that top rating for many years, making it one of the city’s most enduring symbols of exceptional cuisine. From the moment you step through the long foyer, the experience feels like the start of a carefully choreographed culinary journey. The staff were simply excellent and attentive, constantly moving around the dining room to make sure every glass was topped up and every detail was looked after. That level of service makes the room feel calm, polished, and deeply professional without ever becoming stiff. The restaurant offers three menus — Carte Blanche, Prestige, and À la carte — and I went for the Prestige menu. It was outstanding from start to finish. Every dish was beautifully presented and tasted exceptional, with a level of precision that matched the reputation of the room. One of the real highlights was the langoustine, a dish that has apparently been on the menu since the beginning, which says a lot about how strongly the restaurant values its signature plates. The desserts were equally impressive, with gold leaf adding a luxurious finishing touch. Even the small details felt thoughtful and refined, from the immaculate restrooms to the exquisite Christofle cutlery, which I had never seen in that context before. The plates were handmade specifically for the restaurant, which gives the whole experience a sense of identity and craftsmanship that goes beyond the food alone. What stood out just as much as the cuisine was how freely the staff shared their knowledge. They answered my questions about the food, the cutlery, the location, and even a few insider details, all with warmth and professionalism. Because the restaurant is a little away from central London, their kindness extended even further when they arranged a taxi for me to get back home. That level of care made the entire evening feel complete. All in all, this was a once-in-a-lifetime meal, and it is easy to see how the restaurant has maintained its three-star status for so long. It combines history, precision, elegance, and genuine hospitality in a way that very few places can match. It is absolutely one of those restaurants you should experience at least once.

This was an anniversary experience for us that we loved every second of. When we arrived the doorman greeted us and knew our reservation. I’ve never been to a restaurant where that’s happened getting out of a taxi. After that, all we had was amazing service and food. I tried to drink my water so quickly that I’d have to refill it myself but a staff member would just show up and fill it out of nowhere. The food was spectacular. Every dish was thoroughly thought through, and executed to perfection. The only thing I wished I could’ve done that I didn’t have the opportunity to do was thank the chef in person. She and her staff did an amazing job. The front of the house staff was hands down phenomenal.
