It looked interesting and the reviewers promising. The people were great, friendly and helpful. The atmosphere of this small restaurant was nice although a bit loud when all tables were occupied. The food looked very nice and was definitely not bad. But in my opinion the taste was not surprising and maybe even a bit dull. It. Is a nice place to sit and eat something you would usually not and enjoy each others company while being serviced by some real nice people.

I love this place! Limited menu but each dishes seems delicious, the ingredients are all fresh and made by hand! We finished everything! The service is also friendly and with a lot of care. We will definitely back regularly to taste different menus.

Really nice place to have a decent meal in Düssdorf. The place however is not big, so it can feel like packed. The staff is super friendly and attentive. There is a waiting time around 20-30 mins, but you can enjoy some wine (and bread) meanwhile. They don't have much selection on their menu. The food is really good, but I wouldn't say excellent. (Pasta was a bit undercooked, but not a deal-breaker). The wine is good, and the waitress was super attentive to refill the glasses. The prices are bit higher (dishes from €16 upwards), but it's a upper scale restaurant anyway. However, I wouldn't recommend this place to larger groups due to lack of space.

On a stopover in Düsseldorf I needed a great place to eat after a long and tiring day of travel, close to the central station, amongst the kebab shops, and city center folk I wanted a well prepared meal in a relaxing and honest atmosphere with good service to relax, Alchemist delivered for me . A bistro style menu with plenty of options and wine list that satisfies. I found an oasis for the travelled man, I highly recommend. Unpretentious and classy like an old friend you’ve yet to meet, if you find yourself in the area , make it your place for the evening . Cash only, I like that
