Feeling something a bit different, we went to Ramen Shifu for some Japanese ramen on a Saturday night. It was a short walk from Milano Centrale station. The atmosphere in the restaurant was great. The wallpaper and decorations gave the Japanese vibe. Improvement is to play some Japanese music. We were welcomed warmly on arrival and the staff taught us how to order using the tablet available at each table.
We ordered a classic Tonkotsu Ramen and a Fried Chicken Ramen. The chasiu was amazingly tender and flavoursome. The fried chicken was crispy and tasty. There were generous amount of meat, vegies and assorted mushrooms. The slice of seaweed was nice. The noodles were cooked al-dente. The broth wasn't the best. It was salty and thickened without the usual taste of pork bones cooked for long time that makes the broth. Overall, an enjoyable meal and venue but room for improvement on the broth.
The restaurant is beautifully decorated with a great atmosphere. There are many ramen options to choose from, the ramen is delicious, and the staff provide excellent service.
Amazing Ramen! Lots of options. Spicy, Beef, Tonkotsu, Miso, etc.. menu is offered in many languages and very accessible. Great staff, very attentive. Appetizer, drinks and food were all fantastic. Highly recommend. I work at an authentic Japanese Noodles shop in the U.S. and this ramen is just as good, if not better. 10/10.
They serve very good halal ramen options. They prepare it differently in a different section with different utensils. So you can try them here next time.
