Pepen is a great addition to Porta Venezia. The vibe is straightforward and genuine, and the focus is all on the panini — warm bread, great ingredients, and big flavor. The horse tartar panino is the must-try: rich, perfectly seasoned, and surprisingly light. It’s the kind of thing you think about the next day. A perfect stop for a quick lunch or a bite before heading out for the night. Simple, authentic, and seriously satisfying. Staff was so nice. They offered some bits to try. Delicious!! A small, frescoed deli (a plus) with quality sandwiches. I wholeheartedly recommend the classic or the sausage one (to die for!!), and of course the classic meatball with homemade mayonnaise.
Price-wise, for a Coke Zero, meatball, and classic sandwich, I paid €15.
It's not very convenient to eat there; there are only a few tables and the location is very random, but it's worth it.
