This place is a serious OG in the portland pizza game and it shows. You want a consistent pizza that is unique and made to order? Pyros is the spot. If I could just get some specialty pizzas of the day, I would be in heaven! (see pizza below and drool!)
Pyro Pizza is actually insane: they have a whole brick/wood-fired oven in the back of the food cart so you know it's legit. They specialize in personal-sized pizzas so it's pretty great for sharing and trying the different toppings they have to offer. I also have to shout out the drink selection, since their supplier somehow managed to make a clear cola that tastes just like what you'd expect something like Coke or Pepsi to taste like, but with no artificial stuff. We came here after a recommendation from our tour guide, Ana, over at Around Portland tours nearby and were super happy with the results!
I find myself craving this pizza and have been coming a few times a month since I happened upon it. Such a lovely ambiance at the Cartopia food carts and Pyro beckons you to try them with a beautiful wood fired pizza oven and delicious personal pizzas not to mention the craft sodas which are ever changing. They offer free refills on the sodas too which is marvelous. I stay getting the Fennel Sausage Pizza but everything is delicious it truly is choose what sounds best. The pizzas are thin and the dough is well hydrated while still maintaining a great crust.
Although it’s a food cart, the authentic wood-fired pizza oven gives the crust a perfect crisp with just the right amount of char, while the inside stays chewy and delicious. There are three fire pits 🔥 and tented seating, so there are plenty of places to sit. 😊👍

The pizza here is baked in a stone oven, so the crust comes out fluffy and chewy — really delicious. Today I wanted to try something different from last time, so I had the Margherita ($13). The simple flavors paired perfectly with the chewy texture, and it was absolutely delicious.
