We ate dinner with our son in Magazzino to celebrate two birthdays. The service was excellent -- fast and attentive. The food was great (with one exception), delicious and plentiful. The focaccia was divine (sorry we didn't order three helpings), the first courses excellent (roasted leeks, shrimps in garlic butter, Panzanella salad), and the mains superb (aubergine parmesan, cheese ravioli with butter and sage, spaghetti carbonara). Two desserts were very good (lemon and pistacchio pie, almond and berry tart), only the Basque cheesecake disappointed (too salty, and with a slightly chemical taste). Cocktails were great. All in all, we had a great experience..
Food is pretty good, some courses better than others. Service was great, atmosphere depends on the time I suppose, probably better for families with kids. As always, entrees are better than main dishes!
I ate here for the second time, again for my friend’s birthday (same friend), and this time I liked it more than last year. Last time there were fewer food options, it was really noisy, and there were too many people, so I didn’t want to come back. This time the menu was bigger, there were less people even though we came on the same date and weekday (late September, Thursday after 6 p.m.) as last year, and it was easy to talk - though I guess that part depends on luck.
I really enjoyed the pumpkin risotto (it was a special dish) and the cocktails (last year I ordered the carbonara - it was pretty average)
Oh and dessert! Make sure you have a space for it, cos it's tasty and biggest pieces of cakes i ever seen in restaurants

2022 edit: Had another amazing business lunch, entrees were perfection, pizza was yummy and burger was wonderfully done. The French fries were too salty even for us and we didn’t finish them. All in all still a great place!
2021 - I have had several business lunches at Magazzino, and they were all delicious with great service.
This week we ordered two pie slices from the Magazinno desserts on wolt - and although one was out and they replace me it with another, the packaging was lovely and both pies were super yummy. Have to try more 😅
