Oh my golly, I have only one word: umapyoi. This Cafe in Manhattan is so cool that I genuinely thought I was back at tracen academy. Ah yes, the good old days... Racing against Manhattan cafe... Lovely rivalry. The coffee is on another level, a bit strong, but it can never be too strong. Agemasen
I stayed at a hotel in Times Square, and this place was just a 5-6 minute walk away—what a gem! The variety of food here is absolutely incredible, offering something for everyone. It’s one of those classic New York weigh-and-pay buffets, but the selection is beyond anything I’ve seen.
They’ve got sushi, burgers, breakfast classics, and even breakfast options from other cuisines. There’s a huge range of hot dishes, fresh fruits, and so much more. Honestly, I wish this place was right below my apartment—I could eat here every day and never get bored! The variety is so extensive that it surpasses any other restaurant I’ve been to in the U.S.
The staff are super hardworking and efficient, keeping everything moving quickly. The place is spotlessly clean, with plenty of seating, including a separate dining area upstairs. You can easily have all your meals here—breakfast, lunch, dinner, plus grab-and-go snacks for convenience. It’s perfect for anyone staying in Times Square, and it’s so much cheaper than sit-down restaurants or ordering à la carte. I can’t recommend this place enough—it’s a total game-changer for dining in the area!

Cafe Manhattan feels like one of those rare places where past and present blend effortlessly. There's a mid-century charm to it checkered floors, warm booths, maybe even a neon sign humming softly above the espresso machine.
The coffee is consistently solid strong, smooth, and meant to be sipped slowly. Their all-day menu leans toward comfort: eggs, bagels, pancakes, maybe a stacked sandwich that feels just right after a long day. It’s unfussy in the best way.
What really sets it apart is the vibe locals chatting with the staff, the quiet clatter of dishes, and that city hum that somehow feels calmer here. It’s the kind of café that doesn’t try to be anything it’s not and ends up being everything you need in the moment.

I want to address an issue regarding this business. The food is good, but unfortunately the customer service is very disappointing. The girl working at the counter is rude and unprofessional, and her behavior is unacceptable. She often gives off a judgmental attitude, as if customers are a burden to her. It honestly seems like she does not enjoy working there.
The first time this happened, I came in during my break since I work in the building next door. I come here quite often, almost every day. That day I wasn’t feeling well and just wanted to sit on the second floor for a few minutes. After about 10 minutes, she approached me and told me I had to buy something or leave, and even said she would call the police if I didn’t. I understand that businesses may have policies, and I respect that. However, there is a professional and respectful way to communicate those policies, especially in the hospitality industry.
The second incident happened not long ago when I politely asked if there was a charger available. She completely ignored me and treated me as if I were asking for something unreasonable. The way she handled the situation made me feel uncomfortable and disrespected.
I believe management should pay closer attention to customer service standards. Good food alone is not enough to maintain a successful business if customers feel unwelcome.
