It was the first time we've been here since The Golden Pineapple left. We visited because of the Taste in Tempe deal, and we weren't disappointed. They were busy when we arrived but they were still able to sit us after a 5-min wait. The pizza is $30 but it's the size of a coffee table. We couldn't believe how big it was; we took half of it home to eat later. The canollis were sweet and crunchy, too. We didn't play any of the pinball games, but we did take a look at them and they looked in really good condition. They had a few other retro games too, and an jukebox. We will definitely return.
I have been banking at the Landings next door for a while, but I finally decided to give this place a try. What a mistake I waited this long! The vibes here are super chill, the beers are served ice-cold, and the customer service is outstanding. We ordered the lunch special, which comes with really great options at a fantastic value. This is easily our new favorite local spot!
What can I say, I absolutely love this place!!! I live close by and I love riding my bike up for some pizza and pinball! The staff is awesome, super kind and friendly! The food is amazing! I can't recommend the pizza, cheesy garlic knots, salads or wings enough. They take good care of their pinball machines and are quick to fix them if there are any problems. They have the Dutch Pinball Big Lebowski machine... Enough said! There is such a limited # of this specific machine and last time I played it I was at the Dutch Pinball Museum in Rotterdam. They also have several top pinball machines like Cirque Voltaire and some new Stern ones. Every time I stop by they have good live music performing and a welcoming vibe. I love all the skateboarding and art decor throughout the place. It has a great outdoor patio for socializing. They have a great beer and liquor selection. The bar top is all lit up pinball play fields. While service and quality at other bars in the area decline, this place stands out hitting all the right marks for quality food, fun, style and friendliness. I have recommended Night Owl to so many friends and after they check it out I get replies thanking me. I love the geek trivia night and other events they have. You can grab from their selection of board games and sit at a table. They go above and beyond to make everyone feel at home, including saving my spot at the bar when I go to play pinball/arcades. They have bike parking close to the entrance. I absolutely love it!!!
Great new spot in Tempe with excellent pizza and a vibe that is hard to beat. There’s a whole room of pinball machines and PacMan etc. The bar counter is made from pinball machines. And another wall is a killer collection of skateboards. Very unusual place in the best way!
Excellent everything and can't wait to visit again! First, the VIBE is the best! Lots of TVs, fun servers, fantastic collection of owls and vintage decor, and comfy seating options. The menu is robust, and the pizza is almost as good as Venezia! I ordered the white pizza and added bacon, pepperoni, and sliced olives - it was a divine combo! Extensive drink list, and my traditional Long Island Iced Tea was legit - hand mixed, not an off-the-shelf pre-mix. (Only problem is I asked for a float of gin on the top and they declined based on oversering rules. 🤷♀️ They have a good list of draft beers, and I was happy to see Kiltlifter on draft! We ended up going 2 nights in a row. The 2nd night was to celebrate our son's 27th birthday.
