Outstanding 24 hours in this most special of places. From the spectacular setting on the shores of the sound of mull before you enter another sympathetically restored century within the castle walls. Our twin room was actually 2 adjoining rooms both with 4 poster beds and a shared bathroom. To top it off we had access to 360° battlements for our own personal use! The 8 course tasting menu was outstanding - should have done the pairing wines too. 😁 . Peaceful location and ample parking. Johnas was a first rate host. Thank you
We had the eight course tasting menu with matching wines when staying at Kilchoan. The atmosphere of the castle was fantastic, with a characterful dining room and views over to Mull. Food was great, and the wines complemented it well. Waiting staff were knowledgable and attentive.
All in all, a great evening.
Three of us had Sunday lunch at the Castle, the atmosphere, the decor, and the service were absolutely outstanding. The presentation and quality of the food served was simply fab-u-lous. The staff were so helpful and professional, the whole experience was first class. Pity we live 600 miles away as we would certainly go ahead.
We stayed here during our 25th anniversary trip, and it was truly one of the highlights of our vacation. The eight-course tasting menu with wine pairings was outstanding—easily one of the best meals we have ever had. Our waiter was fantastic, and the service was exceptional from start to finish. The location is beautiful, peaceful and wonderfully remote, and every detail felt top-notch. We highly recommend it!
We booked for afternoon tea on the website which was easy to do, we get an email confirming our booking shortly afterwards.
We arrived at the castle and was greeted with a warm and professional welcome.
The service was excellent, we were shown the menu and given time to browse while being offered water for the table. There was an extensive selection of teas which we chose before our afternoon tea arrived
We were delighted when our morsels of delight arrived. Each element was delicious.
We will definitely return for afternoon tea but also very tempted to book one evening for the taster menu as we are sure the food will be equally delicious and of the very best quality.
A wonderful afternoon to end our holiday.
