Lighthaus Cafe is a cozy cafe situated in a charming alleyway in the heart of Bonn, directly in front of the Namen-Jesu church. It's known for its specialty coffee, homemade baked goods, and a selection of breakfast and brunch items, including gourmet toasts and healthy bowls. Its central location makes it a convenient stop before or after visiting attractions like the Beethoven Haus.
Customers generally praise the excellent coffee, particularly the flat white, and appreciate the tasty and healthy breakfast options like the Jogurt Müsli Bowl and vegan baked goods such as banana bread and walnut cinnamon rolls. The atmosphere is often described as cozy and the staff as friendly, though some reviews highlight inconsistencies in service, with occasional long wait times and inattentive staff. While portions for items like toasts are considered generous, some find the prices to be on the higher side.
The cafe offers outdoor seating which is wheelchair accessible, though the toilets are located downstairs. It aims to provide a welcoming environment for guests to enjoy coffee and snacks in a central Bonn location.
The cafe is open Monday to Friday from 7:00 to 18:00, and on Saturdays and holidays from 8:00 to 18:00. It is closed on Sundays. Mornings and lunch hours are likely popular for breakfast and brunch offerings.
