I had read reviews in Nextdoor, a community newsletter so we decided to try it with neighbors. On a Thursday night, the place was packed. It is a new Mediterranean restaurant from Michigan with another location in Coral Springs. Huge menu. No bar or wine list so you can bring your on wine without a corkage fee.
Started with the Starter Combo, A Combo Pleasing to Everyone: Hommous, Baba Ghannooj and Tabbouli. Served with small pitas, very good.
For mains, I opted for the Lamb Kabobs, 2 Skewers of lamb marinated and grilled. Ordered medium and it came out well done , also lacking taste and flavor. My wife selected the Mousaka, eggplant , baked with fresh tomatoes, onions, green peppers, garlic and seasonings. Not the Greek style but they said an Egyptian style. Both dinners come with a choice of 2 sides, soup or salad. My wife chose the Chicken Vegetable Soup and I got the salad, not descript. For an upcharge you can get Fattoush Salad, Greek Salad, or Tabbouli Salad , should have ordered the Greek Salad. Other sides are Rice Pilaf, Fries, or Grilled Vegetables for a $ 1 upcharge.
The food is just ok but the portions are large . That's why they are busy, a lot of over 55 communities in the area.
