Great cocktails and good snacks overall. Tried about 6 cocktails and they were all creative, delicious and easy to drink. Snack portions were a bit small given the price. Beef shortrib empanada was rich and packed with flavors we had to order 2, churro with pork crackling was light, crispy and rich in flavors at the same time. However, the trout tostada was a little fishy. Service was a little slow and not as attentive as the sister restaurant Kol.
Visited London for a week with my husband. Would have loved to have had a dine in but we couldn’t find a reservation that would work into our schedule. We decided to visited the mezcaleria since they accept walk ins. Hostess was extremely sweet and accommodating. Bartenders and service was fantastic. Small cozy place that looks like a speakeasy. Cocktails were delicious and the bar bites were SUPERB. Loved the ambiance and music. Definitely plan on making dinner reservations next time we visit London.

FIRST REVIEW:
This is a review of the Bar only.
5/5 lovely intimate spot for drinks, the drinks are excellent and expertly made, with a strong kick to them. Just what I needed.
Red Hook = 5/5
Just as described on the menu, with an extremely delicious taste, and a very strong kick to it
Lowball = 4.5/5
Quite delicious, beautifully presented, but unfortunately for the Lowball it followed the Red Hook, and so just couldn’t score a 5/5.
Pistachio Guacamole = 6/5
Not to be missed! I’ve never had such a unique tasting guacamole before, strong pistachio flavour in there that works delightfully.
Ambience, music, setting = 5/5
Had my Shazam out a few times
Staff and service =5/5
The gents at the bar were extremely friendly and welcoming, drinks were ready in literally no time.
SECOND REVIEW OF THE BAR
Mezcalaria Bar = 5/5
The drinks here are actually strong as well as being extremely delicious, both times I have been here I have left super tipsy after only 2 drinks - they store that much punch!
Mezcal margarita (spicy) = 5/5
It’s not on the menu, ask for it and you will not be disappointed
Red hook (again) = 5/5
Amazingly delicious and quite strong, highly recommended.served in a martini glass
Sour = 4/5
Quite tasty but I prefer the red hook or the mezcal signature margarita
Lowball = 4.5/5
Very delicious, the only reason it gets a 4.5 because the red hook got a 5/5 and the red hook is simply amazing.
Staff and service= 5/5
The Brazilian gentleman at the bar is extremely cool, funny, and friendly. When you speak to him he will happily converse with you, when you are quiet he will leave you alone.
Excellent place, can’t wait to be back

No.
We were so excited to finally get to come here but it was so disappointing. It was always booked up so when we saw there's bar seat on a Friday night, we jumped on it.
The ambiance was nice and cozy and I must say the servers were super attentive and nice. That said, they constantly look at us and that made us feel very uncomfortable. And one thing I hate that restaurants do is that they straight up ask you still or sparkling in the beginning like you weren't allowed to have the free tab water. What's worse here is that he already had the unopened bottle of water in hand so we felt a tiny embarrassment for ordering tab water.
Anyway he was nice for the rest of the night so I think he wasn't having any ill intention.
We ordered a few dishes because we expect that the bar menu wouldn't have big plates but oh my god the portion is so so tiny.
Pistachio guac and chips - the guacamole was in a sauce container.. can you imagine how small that is? The chip was average but because the guacamole was so small, we had so many chips left.
Ceviche- TINY. it's so tiny that even if you eat it in one bite, it wouldn't fill up your mouth. And I'm so surprised that even if the portion is so crazily small, it still managed to be so salty.
Mushroom tostadas- SALTY. the enoki mushroom is chopped up and cooked in a thick sauce so it's just a paste on top of a tortilla chip. Our least favorite.
Beef tostadas - SALTY. the beef gives it a bit of texture but it is very chewy. The orange sauce at the bottom is so salty even if it's such a small portion, I cannot finish them.
Empanadas- this is the most tolerable dish for the night. Although it's still rather salty, the fillings are generous so we can use some of our leftover chips.
Cocktail here is great I must say. Not the most expensive cocktails and it is very sophisticated. We had 4 different ones and my favorite is the one with white chocolate foam. Delish.
All of it comes to around £150 and we were left hungry, thirsty and slightly tipsy.

Amazing little place. Food and drinks were incredible, and the vibe here was on another level! It felt like I was transported into a little venue in Mexico, they’ve done a great job of transforming a small space in a basement into a lively bar. The music, decor and staff were all amazing. Definitely coming back!
