The Kingham Plough is located in the picturesque Cotswolds and offers a true celebration of local produce. Beyond the main pub, it provides additional accommodation in 'The Little Barn', a private cottage ideal for families. The pub also features a good selection of quality beers and wines.
We recently stayed in the Little Barn at The Kingham Plough, and it was absolutely fantastic. The barn itself is an incredibly cute, beautifully appointed 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom cottage located just a short walk down the street from the main pub. It offered the perfect balance of privacy and convenience.
The food and service throughout our stay were outstanding. Every member of the team was super friendly, welcoming, and attentive, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived.
As a father, I also noticed how brilliant this setup would be for families. Having the extra space and layout of the Little Barn, combined with the incredibly welcoming atmosphere of the pub, makes me think it would be a perfect fit for a trip with a toddler in the future.
We will definitely be back. Highly recommended!
This is a review for the restaurant. We had a dinner reservation on a Friday night, and the place was packed. We were seated promptly, the service was quick and friendly. The food was one of the highlights of our trip, super authentic, flavorful, with good-sized portions. Honestly, we wanted to return the next day but didn’t have enough time, unfortunately. Definitely recommend!
I recently stayed and dined at The Kingham Plough and I wish I could go back tomorrow! I selected this spot as a result of a Google search and I was not let down. I enjoyed a tour of the Cotswolds earlier in the day and I'm so pleased that I landed here. From beginning to end the service was exceptional. Starting with dinner, our dining experience was fantastic! The service was excellent and the food was phenomenal. My friend and I enjoyed everything, but the pork belly appetizer and the steak with the peppercorn sauce were standouts. I'm still thinking about it! The dessert, creme brulee, was also crave worthy. After dinner, we enjoyed a comfortable evening at The Plough. The room was cozy and the bed was comfortable. This was an amazing experience and I highly recommend dinner and a stay. I would like to extend a special thank you to the staff for going above and beyond for accommodating our needs!
Stayed for one night mid-week and enjoyed myself very much. Dinner and then breakfast were excellent and ingredients obviously of good quality. The service for both meals was attentive but not fussy. Lovely village with great walking and biking around. I arrived by bike, which they kindly stored in a secure location for me.
Such a lovely cosy pub but the hotel room was disappointing and needed some upkeep and a deeper clean, particularly for £200 per night for the smallest room (1)
Restaurant - great cocktails. Great vegetarian main dish.
The service from Tiffany absolutely made our experience for us - so friendly, progressional, welcoming. what a great asset to the business she is!
