I first came here to celebrate my birthday, and we ordered from the à la carte menu. The food was absolutely amazing, and we were impressed by every single dish.
We came back for a second visit and decided to try the prix fixe menu. The food was incredible, but I thought the prix fixe menu felt even more special. The dishes were not only delicious but also beautifully presented. It truly felt like a fine-dining experience, especially when combined with the outstanding service.
I can see why this restaurant is always busy. People keep coming back because of the consistently excellent quality of the food, service, and overall experience.
I would also like to thank Seth, the general manager, for his exceptional hospitality. If you have any concerns about the food, service, or anything else, he will make sure everything is taken care of. He genuinely cares that every customer is happy and satisfied.
In my opinion, this is the best Indian restaurant in Phoenix and a place that everyone should try. We will definitely keep coming back. Thank you for another wonderful experience!
Food with soul. Layered, balanced, and deeply satisfying, with just enough spice to keep things interesting. Paired with attentive service and a beautiful atmosphere, this is a restaurant that will thrive.
I've been searching for "food with soul" in Phoenix, and this place has it.
The tasting menu is the way to go. The avocado tandoori was a standout, bringing a wonderful smokiness that paired beautifully with the citrus notes and sauces. The lamb was rich and flavorful, though I would have loved it slightly more pink. (A note to the chef: I didn't quite understand the beetroot—it broke the harmony of an otherwise exceptional dish.)
The pani puri with avocado and white tomato shorba was crisp, creamy, bright, and refreshing, with the pomegranate adding a perfect touch of acidity.
Among the mains, the butter chicken stole the show. One bite transported me back to a hot afternoon in Mumbai, reminding me of the incredible curries I tasted there. The lentils were packed with flavor, and the shrimp struck a lovely balance of sweetness, creaminess, and gentle heat.
The coconut ice cream dessert was the perfect ending—coconut, citrus zest, chocolate, and tart orange coming together in a way that felt both refreshing and indulgent.
One small suggestion: a brief, subtle introduction to each course in the tasting menu would elevate the experience even further. A few words about the inspiration, ingredients, or flavor journey behind each dish would help guests connect more deeply with the food without interrupting the flow of the meal.
A memorable meal from start to finish.

After a disappointing first visit, we were invited back by Seth Camp to give IndiBar another try, and I'm glad we did. We visited on a Friday night, and the restaurant was packed, creating a lively and energetic atmosphere. This time, we were seated indoors and really got to enjoy the beautiful ambiance.
Our server, Kira, was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming throughout the evening.
We experienced the 4-course chef-curated tasting menu, and it was an excellent way to explore the restaurant's offerings. For first-time visitors, I highly recommend it. Every course was thoughtfully prepared, and we had the opportunity to sample a variety of appetizers, entrées, and desserts that showcased the kitchen's creativity and flavors.
Most importantly, this visit was a significant improvement from our first experience and demonstrated the restaurant's commitment to customer satisfaction. The service, food, and overall dining experience exceeded our expectations.
I would happily return and would love to bring my colleagues along next time for them to experience it. And as always, don't leave without trying the Chai Biskoot dessert—it's absolutely fantastic and the perfect ending to a memorable meal.
Old review:
I recently visited Indibar with decent expectations, but the experience was a bit mixed.
Starting with the service — it was unfortunately mediocre. Even though about half the indoor seating was empty, we weren’t offered a table inside and were seated on the patio, which was quite warm. Our waitress came across as having a poor attitude; when issues came up, she didn’t really acknowledge them and instead responded in a way that felt sarcastic and a bit judgmental. While she did make occasional efforts to be polite, it didn’t feel genuine.
As for the food, we tried the kurkuri kamal, which looked appealing but was overwhelmingly sweet — more like a dessert than an appetizer. We each had one piece and couldn’t continue. To their credit, once we mentioned it, they removed it from the bill, which we appreciated. The shahi paneer and veg biryani were good but not particularly memorable. Portion sizes were decent and easily shareable between two people. The garlic naan was fresh, though we had to remind them multiple times before it arrived.
On a positive note, the chai biskoot dessert stood out — it was flavorful and felt worth the price. Unfortunately, most other items felt overpriced for what they delivered. While I understand this is positioned as an upscale restaurant, that upscale feel didn’t quite come through in the taste, only in presentation.
We ended up spending over $100 for two people (including tip), which didn’t feel justified for the overall experience. It might feel like a better value during happy hour or with discounts like InKind.
Overall, the experience might have been more enjoyable with indoor seating and more attentive, welcoming service.

Went here with a friend - coincidentally during restaurant week - so we went ahead with it to try as many flavors/items as we could. It was a great preview to their dishes and we look forward to returning for a regular dining experience.
Food wasnt overly creamy. A variety of spices were featured. And desserts were light and flavorful. Cocktail and chai also delicious!

This was an amazing experience, not just meal and highly encourage anyone in the area to check this restaurant out. Service was great and the chef brings his own flavor profile to each of the dishes. Highly recommend the sampler menu option as it lets you test out a larger variety of the menu so you don't miss out. Cocktails were also mixed perfectly and went down much too smoothly. The staff are all well educated on each menu item and clearly share a passion for the food they're serving. The decor is also lovely - on point for theme of venue without being overwhelming. Good for groups, individuals or dates.
