Today I had the Spicy Chicken Sando and an Asahi on DRAFT from the sushi spot across. Made for a great afternoon. Chicken was crispy, and wasn't crazy spicy although you definitely feel it. Will be back for sure!
Very disappointing. Fried chicken was black and was not hot. Extremely dry and lacked any seasoning. Potatoes were undercooked and tasted gross. Side of ranch was less than half full. This is one of the very few times that I can’t recommend the place. Krispy Krunchy chicken is way better for half the price.
I actually had to go get good chicken the next day.
Breading fell off the soggy chicken with raw buttermilk dredge. Surprised that it was served cold /room temp. It felt as if it was baked and not fried. Buttermilk biscuits were dense but the flavor was good. Collared greens with miso was an acquired taste. Only highlight was the yuzu yoghurt. Would not revisit. Disappointing from its heydays in San Francisco.. hopefully the other resturant brands under the chef are better.
Worst meal ever. I ordered chicken strips, beans, mac and cheese and a salad. The chicken strips had almost no seasoning on them and they weren't crunchy. The mac and cheese literally was just cooked noodles, with no cheese sauce hardly. Probably like 10% cheese sauce that was very watery, and there was absolutely no flavor. Not even salt. It just tastes like cooked noodles that were plain. The beans were mid. They don't taste like baked beans they just taste like beans in broth. They were the most edible item of everything I ordered but I wouldn't call them good. The salad was very disappointing. And the salad dressing is far too sweet. I was really let down because it was expensive and I threw everything away. Would not recommend.
What are you guys feeding your chickens? They must be starving. I paid $18 for, quite possibly, the smallest pieces of chicken I have ever had. The hind quarter (drumstick and thigh) I ordered was the size of my palm. The coleslaw that came with it was just slop mixed in soy sauce and sesame oil. Robbed in broad daylight, do not come here. I usually do not write google reviews, even if the quality was poor. The food was so outstandingly awful that I needed to share.
