Our favourite was the beef short ribs with Sichuan peppercorn, paired with the tomato & melon salad. The fried shallots and Garlic were chef’s kiss
Definitely recommend ordering the Scallion Rice to pair with every bite of smoke mains & side dish to be best savoured with. Will definitely be back as the menu expands in the future
Kudos to Chef Hong & the team for bringing such a unique BBQ smokehouse to East London
Went for dinner early on their first night of service, and it was lovely. My server was so kind and welcoming. The vegetables were outstanding - spicy, sweet, and savoury with lots of crunch. The duck pancakes and pork ribs were favourites from the meat side. It’s hard to find good BBQ in London, so delighted to have Hon’s!

Came for an early dinner after seeing so much positive press and was somewhat disappointed. The quality of the food was okay but the portion sizes were very small for the price. Paid £50 a head but still left hungry unfortunately. Would come for the vibes and test it out, service was decent but would not be coming back

Fabulous BBQ food experience – the lamb is a must-try for young or old!
Went there first time after the restaurant opened recently, we could see everything was quite new. We arrived there at early dinner time when it was empty but noticed it was filled up very quickly afterwards. The restaurant outside wall has a logo but no written sign outside, so it’s a little tricky to know we’ve found the right place. Access is via a flight of steps only, so unfortunately it isn’t wheelchair accessible.
We had a young child and a toddler. High chairs were available, and there was plenty of space to park a buggy or bike, which made things much easier for families.
We ordered almost everything on the menu except the pork ribs and beef ribs. Every meat dish we tried was incredibly tender, juicy and full of flavour. The standout dish for both the adults and the children was definitely the lamb— sooo good. The spicy green beans were another fav among the adults. Our fussy eater happily ate the flavoured rice (after taking out the ginger and spring onion topping), along with the lamb and ox tongue. I also thoroughly enjoyed the pork belly. Ooo the mango and coconut dessert was a refreshing end to the meal.
The only dish we probably wouldn’t order again was the tomato and melon salad, as we felt the flavours weren’t quite balanced.
The restaurant offers amazingly tender, flavourful BBQ that we don’t normally experience. Will definitely be back. Highly recommended!
