They have always been so nice to me and my husband who shop here daily. Aside from all the ready to eat deli counter items I pick up everyday for my kids, and the stocked Kosher items (which is a large part of my diet) I do appreciate the fresh produce. They take out everything from those display shelves and hose down and scrub the shelves before putting everything back, I have never seen another grocery store doing this. Isa is also very quick to help us with personal orders for specific kosher items. In a city where you meet so many unkind people —we are glad Lincoln Market feels like home.
I have been visiting this store for a few years now. I have noticed with each experience, I have been followed and I do not steal and have not stolen. I'm a customer that pays quite a lot out of pocket when I do shop there. I have been approached negatively many a time and will no longer take my business there. I've even been charged for bags when I had my own. Some cashiers are fairly nice, others do not want to be there and it shows. The prices change magically if you don't check them as well using the machines in the store (next to the coffee aisle or in the health bath and beauty aisle near the dog food) if they are working at the time, that's...IF by chance you aren't a person of color being followed and asked if you need help because you're clearly stealing if you are price conscious. I shopped at this store because I live nearby, I'll walk further up in the future as I have been. Thank you for the unpleasant experiences and please do better for your customers in the future.
Truly a great place to shop !!! One of the best in the area. I moved and still come here to shop. Issa is amazing and so helpful. The store always has what I need. It’s clean and organized. I couldn’t imagine changing store locations at this point because it makes such a big difference in my weekly shopping routine. Definitely recommend. Thank you guys for everything ! :)
I went here Friday April 10, at 11:50am to purchase a head of Romaine lettuce. I went register closest to the door.
This cashier proceeded to take the lettuce out of bag and touch it as she ask the other cashier in Spanish was the item 5 dollars and then had to go and check. They both didn’t know what it was
How are we handling basically ready to eat food with our hands. Gross.
I almost left. As it is, I’m throwing it away.
Going down the street
And to think I was going to tip
WARNING TO ANY BLACK/BROWN PPL:
This place will make you feel unwelcome!! I hate how tense the security and management make shopping here. I’m a POC and I shop here often because it’s close but I’ve changed my mind, I’m no longer giving them any of my hard earned money. EVERY TIME I shop there the manager/owner and security are on me and watch me intensely around the store although I’ve always paid and been respectful. I don’t even look like someone who would steal but maybe all it takes is your skin color to be profiled . Looks like I’m not the only one who has experienced this .. You would think after several times shopping there rhey would gain some trust but NO. Also, I’ve gotten produce that was rotten in the middle such as peppers or fruit so definitely not going to waste my time or no longer give my money to price-gouging racists!! Your karma will catch up to you, mark my words.
