Very nice location and layout is very welcoming with a lot of outdoor and indoor seating. Quick and friendly staff.
The ricotta starter was amazing with a great balance of flavors.
The Pancakes were beautiful but very dense so didn’t hit the mark for me with the wet gooey texture and large size.
Hash browns were great
A Persian vibe with outdoor seating, but cozy enough inside to escape all the hustle and bustle of the city. The final stop on the BFF birthday celebration tour was Five Leaves, recommended by one of the four bartenders at Soft Bar.
After soaking up all that relaxation at AIRE, we were definitely hungry! So I went with the scallops, while my BFF ordered the veggie burger. The food was good, the service was good, and honestly, the day ended just right.
And you know what? My 12-hour stint in NY turned out to be one of the best I’ve had there.
It reminded me of how we used to roll back in college — just two best friends spending the day together, trying new places, laughing, eating, exploring, and making memories.
So yes, we were celebrating her birthday. But somewhere in the back of my mind, I realized we were celebrating something even bigger: life, friendship, and the people who have been walking this journey with you for quite some time.
A pretty perfect way to end the BFF birthday tour.

I had lunch at Five Leaves and it was a really lovely experience. The place has a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere, perfect for enjoying a laid-back meal.
We chose to sit at the outdoor tables and, thanks to a beautiful sunny day, it made everything even more enjoyable. The vibe is lively yet cozy—very much a classic New York spot.
I had the sage scrambled eggs sandwich, and it was absolutely delicious: soft, flavorful scrambled eggs with well-balanced ingredients and perfectly toasted bread. A simple dish, but done really well.
The staff was very friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better.
In conclusion: a great spot for lunch in New York, with excellent food, a relaxed atmosphere, and warm service. Highly recommended! ⭐️

Really excellent oysters (“virginia girlfriend” or some name like that, hadnt had them before) and I enjoyed their beef au jus sandwich as well. I think it had slightly too much cheese on it making it a little unwieldy but other than that it was good. The au jus was on the lighter side than what im used to but it still worked well with the sandwich.
My wife liked her chicken sandwich.
They have a really good ipa on tap (threes brewing) and I liked their chilled red wine as well.
Tons of outdoor seating but we opted to sit inside.
Overall a solid spot and I’ll look forward to coming back again.

The food was decent, just enough to give a 4. But overall it was extremely slow service, and they did not handle the orders well. Forgetful and very delayed courses. I waited over 45 minutes for one course to the next. That definitely ruined the experience for me but I won’t go as far as to give 3 stars being that there was no rudeness or any attitude problems with the staff. Simply just slow and forgetful service. The burger was assembled in a way where the ingredients will slip out which you can’t even enjoy the experience, but flavor wise it was good. The best thing to me surprisingly was the chicken sandwich. Great flavor, texture, and not super messy to eat. The pancakes were mid I didn’t like the overly runny yet grainy texture. Not inedible or anything, I just expected a lot better flavor and texture from it. Overall the chicken sandwich itself and the quality of food just gets them to a 4 star for me. If it was out of 10 I’d give this spot a 7 really to be fair. But yea try it out yourself and maybe your experience will be better who knows.
