Good Time Country Buffet was honestly a major disappointment, especially for the price. The selection was extremely limited for a restaurant calling itself a buffet, and several advertised items, including the rib tips, sliced ham, and green tomatoes weren’t even available. I was told they had run out, which made the visit even more disappointing.
The food was bland and under-seasoned; I felt like I had to add salt to almost every bite. The chicken noodle soup tasted unmistakably like canned soup, and some of the food was served cold. For the price, I expected much more variety and quality. It felt more like glorified lunch food than a true Southern buffet.
Then there are the extra charges. The $3.99 unlimited soft drink charge should already be included in the buffet price, and charging $7 for a can of Miller Lite is an insane rip-off. I definitely wouldn’t recommend spending money on drinks here either.
The one major positive was the staff. Everyone was genuinely friendly, welcoming, and helpful, and the customer service was excellent. Unfortunately, great service can only go so far when the food and value fall short.
I also found the overwhelmingly positive reviews difficult to reconcile with my experience. I can only speak for myself, but they certainly didn’t reflect what I experienced.
Great staff and customer service, but the food, selection, temperature, and pricing need significant improvement. Overall, very disappointing and not somewhere I would return to spend money.

Super flavorless. Like there’s no seasonings is in this building. And it was an hour wait…. 0/10 will never be going back there. Not worth the price, as it was 100 for 3 people. Also note that their menu items rotate so they’re only going to have a small selection of what they have on the menu.

Tremendous in all regards. Bang for buck food. Insanely kind and welcoming service. Awesome vibes. The works.

I read about this place opening on Instagram. I made a reservation as soon as the reservation window opened and I am so glad I did. The people waiting outside had to wait an hour on line if they didn’t have a reservation, but when I came out from my meal, I did tell them the wait would be worth it. Buffets are so often risky because you get quantity and not quality. That is not the case here. The quality of the food was incredible. There was nothing I ate that wasn’t absolutely delicious. The service was also phenomenal. The people there couldn’t have been nicer and they all had really great personalities. My friends and I loved it so much and we can’t wait to come back. I can’t even mention the standouts on the food because everything was so good so I would say eat whatever you can fit in your stomach. I might’ve gone just beyond that, but it was worth it.
