Great pub! Extremely friendly staff. It’s nice to get away from the weather . Nice air conned pub. Nice drinks.
There is one women’s toilet which when it is busy it could cause a que.
It’s a shame people bring in food from the market into the pub.
The Globe Tavern is a great place to go for a drink after Borough Market! I stumbled into it because I had overheated at the market and needed sit in the air conditioning and cool down. Ed the bartender was awesome, introducing me to scampi chips (why are these not a thing in the states?!) and making sure I always had a cold drink (or two) in reach. 10/10 would recommend if you’re in the area!
Archie was absolutely terrific from the moment we walked in. He was charismatic, thoughtful... he sat us next to another couple from the city we are from and gave us a good laugh. Shout out Archie, what a wonderful guy and remarkable pub!!
Came here yesterday evening Fri 1 May 2026 . Lovely , airy , medium sized pub located a stones throw from both London Bridge Tube and Borough Market . My second recent visit .
Ticks most of my good pub boxes : Prompt and friendly service ; good music chosen by the bar staff ( not some corporate mandarin type ); central island bar ; bar staff casually dressed, etc .
They are also , thus far , reasonably tolerant of habit of ordering half pints . Apparently, some scenes from the original Bridget Jones Diary were filmed in here .
Some of my mates and I stayed there for a few pints one Friday evening, the atmosphere was nice, it was a little crowded but we managed to find a table. The food was well made and nicely presented. I would definitely go there again.
