We were floating through Portland for our senior trip and heard about this place … so we stopped by … long lines and wait about 45 mins but when we were seated service was fast!! Christian our server was very good
Drinks were good
The food was very flavorful… some of the best oysters I have tasted!
We did the smoked fish dip, lobster roll, England chowder and the oysters! Loved every bit of it.
I wish I could order everything off the menu

This place is fantastic! Had the house made chips, bluefin tuna caught fresh here in Portland and of course a lobster roll and they were all amazing! $5 Narragansett 16oz beers and my server Sam was great. I’m a big fan. 5 stars all around. Keep up the good work!

Overpriced and a overhyped for me. We came in, saw the prices, decided to try a few of the dishes but didn’t want to commit to having to pay an arm and a leg. Glad we made that choice.
We didn’t have a reservation and sat at the bar. We ordered a salad, lobster roll, crudo, and a half dozen oysters. The oysters and crudo were very fresh, but for over $3 an oyster, you’re paying for ambiance. The lobster rolls were extremely small and forgettable, honestly. They were almost saucy with the amount of butter on there. They accidentally served us 2 which made the price feel more bearable, but they are 2-3 bites each tops.
We ended up getting more food across the street.

It was my first time in Maine and everyone I knew in Boston was talking about how this was the go to place to try the best lobster roll and oysters and let me just tell you how good it was and I had to order 2 rows of everything. The staff here was so friendly and knowledgeable they recommended such amazing stuff to pair with the oysters. The lobster roll was the highlight of the whole meal, never in my life had a lobster roll that made me want more and more .

Exceptional oysters. Eventide doesn’t try to do everything- but what they do, they do very well. The oysters are great- they only pick the smaller of the varieties they carry so every oyster is good. The setup is good. The rectangle tray fits on the narrow counter. They offer horseradish ice. I don’t know how they make it but that’s worth a visit. The burger is great. The ceviche is great. Their beer selection is good. Get there a few minutes before they open in peak season or you will wait a while- and honestly I’d wait for this place and I’m not one to wait in a line.
