Del Campo

Visited Del Campo al Norte Restaurant while driving through the area and had a decent overall experience. We were a group of six, and our waiter was friendly and helpful, but the service was not as attentive as we had hoped. We had to remind him about refills and additional assistance throughout our visit. The food was good, but not the best compared to other Puerto Rican restaurants I’ve tried. The mofongo with octopus was enjoyable, although I have had better versions elsewhere. The octopus salad was a bit bland and could have used more seasoning. The white rice and beans, however, were excellent—savory, flavorful, and one of my favorite dishes from the meal. The sampler platter was good, although it included a lot of fried options. The fried plantain chips were delicious—I honestly couldn’t stop eating them! The alcapurrias were also tasty. It was my first time trying them with potato inside, and I enjoyed the unique twist. The lemonade was refreshing and a nice addition to the meal. One recommendation for the restaurant would be to consider adding an AC unit or improving ventilation in the women’s restroom, as it was extremely hot and would be more comfortable and sanitary with better temperature control. Overall, I would recommend trying some of the dishes, especially the rice and beans and fried appetizers, but not every item was a standout. As always, it depends on your personal taste preferences.

My first day in PR and this place set the standards. The customer service was great, but most importantly the time the food was made and brought to our table. The taste and quality was so good that I had to leave a review which is rare

The restaurant has plenty spaces of parking. It has an indoor dining room and an outdoor terrace. The decor is very cozy and pretty. The waiter served us very kindly and attentively. The drinks are varied. The appetizers of mini "alcapurrias" and "bacalaitos" are excellent. The food was also delicious. The mofongo stuffed with mahi-mahi, "mar y tierra", ribeye, and fried pork with rice and beans. The dessert was cream brulee, very delicious. I recommend it to everyone if you're in Hatillo or the surrounding area.

I must say I was VERY disappointed with the food. The mofongo was very dry and did not have a piece of chicarron or garlic. It was also bland. The grilled chicken breasts were frozen and bland. Instead of fresh chicken for my stuffed mofongo, they used the frozen grilled chicken breasts. I wish I could post my pictures so you could see for yourselves. I will not step foot there again. It's a very nice restaurant and service is decent but the food is bad.

We were greeted at the entrance and guided to our table promptly. Our waitress Yailing, so nice and diligent described the dishes so we could do our choice. The food was hot and fresh from the kitchen. Great flavors, and textures. Very well cooked, accessible prices. Oh, And if it's your birthday they'll sing birthday song al son de plena. Loved it.
