I was sold 2 week old expired baby milk, ordered via Just Eat. Went into the Co-op store to ask for a replacement and unfortunately I was met with nothing but an undermining insensitive attitude from the Store Manager. I showed him my receipt and handed him the 2 week old expired baby milk.
He said there’s nothing he can do for me and said he cannot give me a replacement. He said he’s heard of conspiracy theories about baby milk? Not sure what that means? He was rude and dismissive. He wouldn’t let me talk, and his attitude was overruled by his big ego. After almost 10 minutes of confrontation, he gave me a replacement.
Customers shouldn’t be made to feel like a burden to ask for a simple replacement for something which is at fault of the Co-op.
The Store Guard here does an excellent job with shoplifters. Unfortunately he also fills shelves, sweeps the floor and generally does the work of a store assistant thereby potentially depriving another person of a job. I brought this issue up with the store manager - this is a franchise store by the way - and his conclusion was that there was nothing to be done about it. It’s extra galling given that the Co-Op promotes themselves on Google Maps as being ‘ethical stores’. I’ve since stopped shopping at this particular branch.

Ordered fruit and ice cream for my wife who is very sick and bed bound back at home whilst I’m working away. Waited 75 minutes and the delivery time kept going up whilst no updates followed and the screen still showed “shopping in progress”.
I know it doesn’t take 75 minutes to walk round a Co Op and pick out 7 items of food and drink.
To anyone making an order online, don’t bother!

Awful staff - in desperation and emergency due to my wife’s illness we ordered a delivery of a loaf of bread for my son’s school lunch. Somehow they managed to deliver completely the wrong type despite having it on the shelves. I know this as I sprinted up to the shop and was met with such ridiculously petty bureaucracy that I lost my temper.
Ridiculous self service that, if you even breathe on, asks for non existent assistance. That ludicrous security guard with all the regalia who thinks he’s Tom Clancy. Dreadful and if I have to use this franchise, I’ll walk to the Herbert Road one, or starve.

I replaced the order and delivery supposed to deliver 5.00pm to 6.00 pm . I got few items but rest I was waiting for. I spoke to the driver about half delivery and he said to me , the other driver will get my rest of the items . It’s nearly 9.00pm but no delivery arrived. I rang to the store 3-4 times but no one answered. This is not happened once , this is happened 2-3 time before. I am really disappointed from the service 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻
