My favorite Thai fine dining so far — and I already want to come back again💘
I love how the whole experience is centered around rice as the main theme. It gives the meal a strong story and makes everything feel thoughtful and connected.
Every dish was delicious. Even some vegetables that I normally don’t enjoy in everyday meals tasted amazing here — the flavors and aromas were so well crafted that they completely changed my perspective.
The atmosphere is elegant but still warm and relaxing, not too formal. And Chef Tam is so cute🥹💖
Such a special meal. Definitely a place I’d love to revisit. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Having dined at some of the most acclaimed tables across the globe, I don't say this lightly: Baan Tepa is easily within the top three restaurants we have ever visited.
From the moment you step into the beautifully restored estate, you realize this is not just a meal, but a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The transition from their lush urban garden to the sleek, open kitchen sets the stage for a journey that is as educational as it is delicious.
The service is nothing short of exceptional. It strikes that rare, perfect balance precision and genuine, warm hospitality. The staff possesses an intimate knowledge of every ingredient’s provenance, making you feel like an honored guest in a private home rather than a visitor in a restaurant.
Chef Tam’s vision for modern Thai cuisine is transformative. The depth of flavor, the focus on sustainable sourcing, and the masterful play of textures. Each course is a testament to Thailand’s rich culinary heritage.
If you are a traveler who seeks out the pinnacle of gastronomy, Baan Tepa is a non-negotiable destination. It is a rare gem that manages to exceed even the loftiest expectations. An absolute masterclass in fine dining.
As you pull up into the driveway you are immediately transported to a world outside the city. Lucky to eat here in this space right before they undergo renovations.
The service was on point, the staff toward us along the property and was very knowledgeable about what was being served for the evening. The space and the decor were very fitting to the meal into the two stars the restaurant has.
The food was very Thai and kept through to the local flavors. The ingredients were still the stars, not being overpowered by the sauces they came with.
This is definitely a place I would love to come back to.
We absolutely LOVED our dinner here. The food was fab & service was so wonderfully warm, welcoming, informative, & attentive. The bamboo clams was soooo yummy. That black curry was fantastic! Our server's was Honey (I think. I'm sorry if I got it wrong, I'm horrible with names) & she was fantastic. I hope Baan Tepa will reply here & let me know her name correct. I'd love to be in her section the next time we go.
Incredible dining experience and everything that should be expected out of an establishment with 2 Michelin stars. From the moment our car dropped us off the doors were opened with warm greetings from the staff. After checking in we were immediately immersed in our journey with a tour of the herb garden, where each was explained to us and how it was used. We got to smell and taste each herb during the explanation so we could envision it with multiple senses. After that we were brought into the kitchen where we were greeted by the entire kitchen and then given a detailed explanation of the uses and reuses of ingredients, as well as aging and fermentation processes. It’s no wonder they just won Asia’s sustainability award. After having our welcome drink and first bite in the kitchen we were welcomed to our table for dinner service. The decor of the restaurant is upscale and stunning. We opted for the Thai wine tasting menu, as we wanted to explore everything that is Thailand, and it did not disappoint. The sommelier Marco paired everything beautifully with the courses and is delightful to converse with. Before we left we didn’t see him and headed out to meet our car, but before we could make our exit he ran out of the door to make sure he said goodbye and wished us well. Now back to the food aspect! There was not a single dish during this tasting menu that we were not wowed by and that says a lot. I’ve been to dozens of Michelin starred restaurants and this is one of three that were arguably the best meals I’ve ever had. The Dong Dang noodles and Wagyu with the blackened curry were top dishes for me on the tasting menu, however, we added on the confit duck curry and that was easily a top dish as well. So I definitely recommend doing that. The service from the staff was outstanding, they worked so in sync with one another and explained everything perfectly, and in such a friendly and pleasant manner. Absolute all-stars. If you want to treat yourself to an incredible dining experience I highly recommend this gem of a restaurant. Thank you again to the entire staff for a wonderful evening.
