One of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had in San Francisco.
From the moment we walked in, the service was exceptional. Our server, Vlad, was absolutely amazing—knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely passionate about creating a memorable experience. At the bar, Brandon and Caley crafted cocktails that perfectly complemented every course and truly elevated the entire evening.
We started with the octopus, eggplant, and chicken liver appetizers, and each dish was outstanding. Every bite was packed with flavor, beautifully prepared, and unlike anything we’ve had before. For our main course, we had the lamb shank, which was incredibly tender, rich, and perfectly executed. We finished with the date cake for dessert, and it was the perfect ending to an unforgettable meal.
The food was out of this world, the cocktails were exceptional, and the hospitality made us feel incredibly welcome. Aziza delivered on every level and easily ranks as the best dinner experience we’ve had in San Francisco. We can’t wait to come back.
May very well be the best dining experience I’ve had in the Bay Area. Certainly the food cannot be beat. I’d been wanting to go for months with my partner but never quite found the time. Totally exceeded my expectations, and those were quite high! Servers were inviting, attentive, and friendly. I felt well taken care of and never rushed. Per some other reviews’ recommendations we went for the cauliflower, and it’s one of the best dishes I’ve ever had—would go back just for that! That being the standout dish, I have nothing but praise for all the food. The bread was unctuous and rich, and I was on the verge of scraping up the leftover spread with my fingers. Octopus was beautifully prepared with just the right amount of chew. My one note is for the chicken. I’m not familiar with tagine, and was expecting something a bit more saucy and strongly flavored. Those expectations aside, it was a beautifully prepared bird, one of the best pieces of chicken you can get in the city. Very rarely do I order more than I can eat, but in this case my partner and I left too stuffed for dessert (another reason to return!) with leftovers in hand. An incredible night, and I’m looking forward to going back!
Aziza was an amazing experience! The atmosphere is beautiful, serene, and upscale. We were able to get a same-day reservation. The staff was even kind enough to move us to an earlier seating time.
Our waiter was attentive, knowledgeable, and did a great job explaining the menu, particularly food allergies for our daughter. The main dishes took a little while to arrive, but our waiter explained that the cornbread is prepared that way to make it extra moist—and it was totally worth the wait! Every dish was unique and delicious. Ordered the roasted cauliflower, grilled octopus, short ribs, and buttered cornbread. The wines were perfectly chilled and crisp. Great food, excellent service, and a wonderful atmosphere. We'll definitely be back!
Aziza is a little gem out here in this part of the Richmond neighborhood. We came here for a Friday dinner night. The vibes inside are dark and intimate, good for small groups or dates, but still have the space for bigger groups.
Everything we had was so delicious. The highlights for us were definitely the appetizers. We loved the trio dip, cauliflower, grilled octopus and corn bread. The lamb shank was delicious as expected but I would opt to try other meat/fish dishes instead. Overall I would come back and try other items on the menu!
The only con we had was that the service was very slow. I’m not sure if it’s because we had a later dinner reservation or the service was intended to be like that. If you want something shorter than 2.5 hours dinner, I recommend an earlier dinner resy or letting the server know to speed up the service in case you have other commitments after.
Excellent experience from start to finish. Service was attentive without hovering. Never a long wait between courses.
We started with the bean dip, muhamara with flatbread, octopus, olives, and cauliflower. The octopus was the standout: smoky, sweet, tangy, and briny all on one plate. The dips were generous and flavorful.
We split the whole branzino for mains. Perfectly cooked and portioned well.
The atmosphere is casual but elevated. The value is better than comparable restaurants at this tier. You get real portions here, which matters when the check arrives.
Highly recommend for special occasions or a nice dinner out.
