I went for dinner with my son yesterday, and the whole experience was fantastic! Everything we ordered was delicious. Our server Sophia gave us detailed explanation about every dish (origin and ingredients) she brought to our table. My son ordered the Tasting Experience, and it was absolutely worth it! I wasn't very hungry at the beginning so I ordered Northern Chicken as my main course and Octopus as appetizer. Our Chef Carlitos was so thoughtful that he gave me the same cold starters and one of the desserts on my son's menu with his compliments. All in all, my son and I had such a great night at Artesano. I would give it 10 stars if I could. We will definitely come back!
My family and I came here months ago and we still talk about our experience. We came early before the dinner rush with our baby in a stroller and while it’s not exactly practical, the staff made us feel so comfortable. Since the restaurant was still a bit empty, they moved us to a corner where we wouldn’t be disturbed and even shifted some chairs just for our sleeping baby to be parked comfortably. Beyond the lovely atmosphere, the food experience was top notch. Every dish was explained fully to us when bought to the table. The presentations were beautiful and you can see the passion the chefs have for their craft. The bartenders were just as passionate about their work and the drink presentations were incredible!
We’d been debating on dessert that night, but our baby had woken up before we got the chance to order. Seeing that we were scrambling to leave, they treated us to a lovely little palette cleanser dessert at the end, on the house. It was incredibly kind and I cannot express that enough.
Looking forward to making a reservation for my husband’s birthday this weekend! It was the first restaurant that came to mind when we spoke about weekend plans! A hidden gem in NYC, truly.
As a Peruvian, this is one of the best Peruvian restaurants I’ve ever tried. Food made me feel at home, the quality was over the moon and the mix of flavors were exquisite. Not just that, but the presentation is gorgeous you don’t only eat with your mouth but with your eyes. I would like to mention that the servers and chefs were extremely polite, enthusiastic and respectful. The place is very clean, aesthetically pleasing and representative of the Peruvian culture. Definitely will be coming back!! Thank you!!
The Nikkei tuna tartare was spectacular, the different sauces blended to perfection with the tuna and the rice.
The causa escabechada was one of the best things I’ve ever tried, the sauce and the fish combo was so tasty and the potato was so soft.
The lomo saltado, no comments it was perfection. The meat was so soft that it melted in my mouth. The rice with the corn ✨
The Anticuchos WOWWWWWW, pls keep it in the menu forever.
As a certified Yuca fan, bring this to Peru, the cheese with the sauce perfect combo.
Finally the suspiro à la limeña wonderful, not cloying at all, I love how they added a chicha sorbet and chocolate crumbles at the bottom.
What a delightful surprise this place turned out to be!! I can’t express how good everything was. Ingredients were incredibly fresh. Flavors were potent. I can’t wait to take everyone here. The artisan’s ceviche with the octopus and calamari is SUPERB! Highly recommend. It’s sweet and creamy and has a tiny bit of kick at the end. Short rib was incredibly tender. Octopus and Branzino was also delectable. Brussel sprouts are very crispy. I can’t recall the name of the desert but I had one that cornbread with praline and corn sorbet excellent!
Tried this Peruvian cuisine restaurant, a hidden gem and worth every dollar spent. The food is simple amazzzing! Very friendly and warm service with great restaurant ambiance and decor. Sweet potato fries with jalapeño salsa and fried rice with plantain and scramble egg is to die for!
Thank you 😊
