We have dined there twice and the food, service, and atmosphere was superlative. If you are looking for a special evening/experience you need not look further.
The reservation was honored on time although we would have been happy to sit at the bar for a cocktail.
We asked for a private dining experience for a family going away dinner and arrived to find a dedicated menu for our table with wine pairings. Personalized menus were printed for us to take as a momento. We experienced a multi- course dinner that explore Causa’s extensive menu. Each course and wine pairing was explained by our server to highlight special ingredients and wine regions.
If you are looking for a lovely evening out or a special dinner to memorialize a special occasions Causa/Amazonia will fulfill your wish.
We decided to try Amazonia as it was one of the Sapphire reserve dining and I’ve never been here before. I’ve eaten in many Peruvian restaurants since the 1990s as its cuisine/flavors is a fusion of Asian and South American culture.
We tried the Lomo Saltado - with wagyu beef, ceviche mix to carretillero with razor clam, and pulpo al jasper.
First dish: ceviche. Little bland but fresh
Second dish: pulpo- more flavor. Octopus was nicely cooked
Lomo: little salty. Wagyu beef was well cooked. Again little salty. Saltado is traditionally stir fry but this was more like a stew. Personally, I prefer the “classic” Saltado whether it be Lomo saltado or with other meat. There is something special about having French fries thrown in and stirred fried in the saltado. Also what was missing was the pickled onions/salsa criolla. That’s usually my favorite “condiment”.
Service was point on. Atmosphere was nice. It has a sitting area that would be nice during spring and fall weather or cooler summer days
In all, solid 4/5 star.

5/5 date night. Amazonia's drinks and food were on point, service was great, and the atmosphere was apropos for a restaurant themed after the Amazon...
We started with drinks, the Amazonian punch was the clear favorite of the 3 ordered; they do a very strong smoke and the drink is served with a mate straw. El cacao was very spirit forward, did not have the cacao smoke that was described on the menu but was still quite tasty with small notes of cacao (you can see the fragments).
The scallop parm appetizer was very savory and the sauce was to die for, slightly tart with cumin it hits the right spots on the tongue for the first dish of the night. We followed up with filet mignon and pork belly skewers, paired with what I'm guessing is a toum-style aioli and in-house sriracha? The skewers were delicious by themselves, I love sriracha but it was strong enough to cover up the seasoning of the skewers. The pork belly was melt in your mouth delicious, preferred that over the filet.
We ordered the seasonal scallop ceviche and bluefin sashimi, both were delicious and the sauces were quite unique leaning on the tart/sour side, seems to be tamarind and lime as well.
Ended with the pulpo al josper and chocolucuma; the octopus was very tender pairing very well with the mashed potatoes texture. The cake paired with ice cream dessert was also delicious and I can't believe I ate that much of it given that I can't have much dairy.
The service was exceptional, staff was very knowledgeable of the menu and was able to provide great recommendations on what to order next. The restaurant vibe was also buzzing, many folks here on date night with cool beats playing in the background. The volume is a bit high so it's not whisper-quiet but closer to busy coffee shop volumes.
Order at least 3 to 4 dishes to share for 2 people, get at least 1-2 drinks a person. The Amazonia punch was the favorite of the night, I'd have gotten 3 of those if it were one of those nights...

Giving it 5 stars for some super outstanding dishes that we tried: the pulpo, salmon belly and macambo (!!) dessert. Incredible flavors, textures, and love for ingredients and region came thru. Server was super knowledgeable, helpful and attentive. Liked the vibe & ambiance... rooftop was warm even in winter! Blankets were a cute touch. Drinks were yummy. Scallops were good but were overpowered by parmesan. Shrimp pasta special should have had more shrimp for the price. Pork belly was good but not extra special.

Causa (1st floor)-
Delicious food and beautiful presentation on the dishes. Great service. My wife and I loved the music, but be aware it was loud. For two people, I wouldn’t recommend ordering the whole fish- the tasting menu was more than enough food for us. Although the whole fish dishes were absolutely delicious, so if you’re a group of 3+ people then I would definitely go for it (if you can afford to). Very expensive, but worth it!
