Pork empanadas

An empanada is a type of turnover made from pastry wrapped around a filling. These are prepared by folding dough over ingredients such as meat, cheese, tomato, or corn, and then cooked through either baking or frying. The name derives from the Spanish word "empanar," which translates to "breaded" or "wrapped in bread."
