I was attempting to use a coupon for my baby’s formula when I encountered an issue at checkout. Rather than assisting me or attempting to resolve the problem, the manager informed me that the coupon company had stopped honoring the coupon. This information was inaccurate, as I had successfully used the same coupon at another Walmart location the day before.
What was most concerning was not the coupon issue itself, but the manager’s attitude and behavior. Instead of professionally explaining that she may not have known how to process the coupon or seeking assistance from another employee, she responded in a dismissive and disrespectful manner. She made a comment along the lines of, “I suggest you go back there,” which came across as rude, unhelpful, and inappropriate for someone in a management position.
As a customer, I expect to be treated with courtesy and respect, even when an issue cannot be immediately resolved. A manager should be willing to listen, investigate the situation, and provide accurate information rather than making assumptions and speaking to customers in a condescending manner.
This experience left me feeling frustrated and disrespected. The interaction reflected a serious lack of professionalism, customer service skills, and leadership. I believe additional training is needed to ensure customers are treated appropriately and that employees are equipped to handle coupon-related issues correctly.
I will also be reporting this incident to the coupon company, as they should be aware that valid coupons may not be receiving proper consideration at this location. I respectfully request that this matter be reviewed and that appropriate action be taken to prevent other customers from having a similar experience.
Thank you for your time and attention to this matter. I look forward to hearing how this complaint will be addressed. The manager with the glasses with the rhinestone and the wig short black lady the company needs to know exactly who you are.
