My husband and I dined at True Food Kitchen while shopping in the area. We opted to sit outside, but they also offer indoor seating. Jasmine was our server and she was great! She was super informative, helpful, and kind. We were pretty hungry, so we ordered right away. We ordered two Sparkling Prickly Pear Tisanes, the organic Tuscan kale salad with blackened shrimp and the teriyaki quinoa bowl with blackened shrimp. Everything arrived promptly, and it was fresh and delicious. From the service to the food, we enjoyed our dining experience. We look forward to dining here again!
Nice location. Wonderful staff and servers. Food … fries were all stubs and not hot. I was in a meeting and just hungry and didn’t mention it. Should be caught by kitchen manager. Salad was delightful and fresh. Parmesan Chicken was on the dry side chicken wise. Air fry is healthier , not juicy and enjoyable. Pasta was good. Will try the spaghetti squash tonight. Didn’t look like menu photo
My mom and I popped in here for a Lunch and were very impressed! Christian was our waiter and he was attentive and very nice! The food was amazing and the menu is HUGE! Loved the nutritional facts, that’s a nice bonus! We will be back very soon!
Had a wonderful dinner at True Food Kitchen at Avalon this evening. We sat inside, and I was really impressed by the interior—the cozy, natural decor paired with excellent lighting creates such an inviting and warm atmosphere. It’s a beautifully designed space that feels both high-end and comfortable.
The food was fresh and delicious:
Mediterranean Hummus: A great, flavorful starter.
The Grass-Fed Burger & Fries: High-quality ingredients and very satisfying.
1 star. I wish I could give less.
I've been a True Food customer since 2017, back when the Denver location felt like it actually believed in its own menu. The Alpharetta location has spent the last few years proving that a restaurant can, in fact, give up in real time while still charging full price.
There's no care here. Takeout arrives with the energy of a hostage note, assembled by someone who seems personally offended that you ordered it.
Exhibit A: the burger. See attached. That's $35. One translucent ribbon of lettuce, a rumor of avocado, and an otherwise empty bun doing most of the heavy lifting. I've checked the burger three times looking for the rest of the ingredients. The avocado must be in witness protection.
Dining in is a marginal improvement, still subject to the same apathy and culinary hostility from whatever line cook has been assigned burger duty as punishment. Expect less than a teaspoon of whatever ingredients the menu promised, seriously. It's not funny.
This isn't a one time thing. I've given this location chance after chance, purely out of loyalty to what True Food used to be. Every visit has been a new experiment in how such little food can legally be called a meal. Today was the final straw. And this camel's back is broken.
$35 for a bun, a patty, and a lettuce sighting. I could've printed a photo of a burger, eaten that for cheaper, and get the same nutritional value.
With kind regards,
