Toast New American Gastropub

OH MY WORD. We finally tried Toast, and wow. Had a pork chop with sausage gravy special for Sunday brunch. The pork chop was breaded and deep fried to perfection, and was JUICY and so well-seasoned. My mouth is still watering thinking about it. Also tried the donuts - when they’re brought out, the server shakes them in a bag of powdered sugar AT THE TABLE. Absolutely delightful - the experience and the donuts. The portions were big and leaves you with a grin ear to ear. Highly recommend!!

Wow. Unreal. Everything is homemade. Biscuits out of this world, gravy… divine with a nice subtle kick. Eggs bene (pulled pork) was perfect and the hollandaise was homemade not the super sour sweet stuff from powder. Corned beef hash was on point but could have more meat. It was homemade not the cat food out of a can you get at most places. Wish we lived here so we could come back. Stellar. Do not miss.

Today, we tried TOAST at Winterfield Place for the first time! It was so good! The fried pickles were a bit too thick for our liking, but they were still pretty good (just a personal preference). The pimento cheese wontons are absolutely delicious!! My husband got the Breakfast Burger (with fries), and I had the Nashville Chicken Sandwich (with sweet potato fries, which are waffle shaped). He said his burger was delicious and as for my chicken sandwich, it was fantastic. However, even though it was "Nashville chicken," it wasn't very spicy. So edible for both the spicy and non-spicy eaters. :P The restaurant setting is casual, and the hostess was welcoming upon arrival. Our waiter (Nathan A) was very friendly, and though the restaurant was busy at the time, he didn't skip a beat. Great waiter! We would absolutely recommend this location and would obviously come back to try more items on the menu.

Fun spot for lunch. Great service! Tried the shrimp and crab nachos, which were fantastic, with lots of crab. A half serving was enough for two. Also tried the Thai salad. Great flavors and fresh veggies. Huge covered outdoor area makes this a great spot for almost any time of the year.
