I think I went 5 times in 3 days while vacationing in Duck. Without a doubt the most delicious donuts I’ve ever had. I absolutely love that they are made to order so it’s piping hot and fresh every time. The maple bacon is out of this world delicious. I tried over a dozen flavors and not a single one was bad.

We were visiting Corolla Beach and on our last day decided to stop by Duck Donuts. We enjoyed the donuts we got, they were not too sweet and you can taste the flavor of the toppings. It can be a little confusing when ordering, but when you walk in the door they have a stand with order pads to make your donut selections(something that we missed and later noticed).

The OG Duck Donuts! There's something magical and delicious about made-to-order donuts, and this place has nailed it! Pick from a great variety of artisan donuts, or make your own custom donut. They have outdoor tables where you can sit and enjoy your hot donut while taking in the sights and sounds of the Currituck Sound, and don't forget to buy a tee shirt and sticker to rep your new favorite donut shop!

Came in off-season so the wait was nonexistent, but one look at the setup and it’s clear this place is built to handle a crowd. Smart operation. The donuts are made fresh and served warm: glazed, cinnamon sugar, and chocolate icing were all solid. A little oil comes with the territory; these are fresh-fried and you’ll feel it. Doesn’t detract from the experience, just set expectations accordingly. Warm donuts, immediate sugar hit, zero regrets. If you’re on the Outer Banks and someone tells you it’s a must-visit, they’re right.

If you ever find yourself in Duck, stopping by Duck Donuts is an absolute must. The donuts are incredibly fresh, made right in front of you, and served warm, which makes them dangerously delicious. What really sets this place apart is how bold and creative the combinations are. From classic favorites to wild mixes with bacon, maple drizzle, crushed cookies, or fruity toppings, every bite feels like a new experience. You can keep it simple, or go all in and build something completely unique, either way, it’s almost impossible to have just one. The balance between soft, fluffy dough and rich, flavorful toppings is just perfect. Honestly, it’s not just a donut shop, it’s an experience. Highly recommend if you’re anywhere near the Outer Banks.
