We found this beautiful pub through our search for sites app whilst trying to find an overnight stop off in our motorhome, and all I can say is wow, absolutely the perfect start to our holiday tour, we were met by the very friendly Stephanie, and had a couple of cooling pints in the well appointed gardens, before returning for our evening dinner appointment, to start, my wife had somerset charcuterie board, which was stunning, I had scallops, served on brown crab meat orzo, and it was equally delicious 😋, for our main course, my wife had the hallumi salad, and I had the grilled cornish sole, (megrim), we were both very happy with our choice, my fish was absolutely on point 👌,we finished with the walnut and cheese tracker tart, as we were intrigued as to how they could pull off this strange combination, and quite simply, it was delicious as well, a strange combination, but worked perfectly.
I was given some advice years ago by a family member, "always check out the toilets before ordering food, if clean, and looked after, the food should be good ", and the toilets here were not just clean, but smelt nice aswell.
The pub got quite busy, so I would suggest you phone and book up, but you won't be sorry if you make the effort to go here
So in summery, this beautiful pub was the perfect start to our holiday, and I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting beautiful food, in beautiful surroundings, with beautiful hardworking staff,
