Incredible value @ £30 for a three course menu which also included free canapes and homemade bread. Service brilliant and friendly. At this quality of food, I would be expecting to pay £35 minimum for 3 courses.

Tried the short tasting menu, plus an extra course of duck confit for group of 6. Interesting choice of three courses, one diner thought the lamb was a bit gristly which was disappointing. Overall excellent, assiduous service, good if expensive wine list.

As a wider family we have been going to Thackerys for over a decade. The food is very good, service is good. Only gripe is some of the wine is a bit young and as a bigger group it would be better to order the wine in advance Would recommend

Another lovely lunch at Thackeray’s……enjoyed a wonderful roast Sunday lunch served in this beautiful restaurant that never disappoints us! Looking forward to trying out the new menu next month. 🍷🍽️♥️
