Some of the best food I’ve had in Melbourne!!! 🤩 The food was absolutely impeccable, and the lobster roll truly lives up to its amazing reputation! 🦞 Every bite was incredible. The staff were amazing, and our server, Eliott, was the absolute sweetest! Such a wonderful experience from start to finish. Can’t wait to come back! ❤️
A lively, busy and happening modern restaurant which would be good for a casual meal with friends. The staff were lovely and friendly, very attentive and service speedy. A lot of the food we had was fairly average, no on stand out flavours, but enjoyable. We thought the standard improved throughout the meal, with our favourites being the steak, greens and the desserts - we had the peanut butter parfait and the baked custard with ginger and rhubarb. The fried wontons were also nice. Don’t bother with the lobster roll of which was underwhelming, and the crab dumplings were probably our least favourite. Would not return in a hurry, but absolutely open to trying some other dishes.

What an absolute delicious experience!
My friends and I were visiting from Adelaide and knew we had to visit Supernormal for the first time. Due to our group size (11), we had to get a banquet option which we didn’t complain about at all.
There are two banquet options: $90 and $130, the latter includes way more seafood like lobster and all that fancy stuff. We aren’t too fussed with seafood so we opted for the $90 PP banquet.
The banquet menu is bountiful and the round of courses seem to never stop! Entrees upon entrees and mains upon mains, then finish off with a lovely peanut butter sort of dessert? No idea what the dessert was but 10/10 rating IMO.
Our servers were attentive and never let our glasses get dry - always a glass full of water and the other with wine (if we had any left in the bottle for them to pour anyway)
The place is super cool, super chic. I especially love going down the spiral stairs to the bathrooms, and there are arcade games on the way to the toilets too!
Can’t stop thinking of the lamb shoulder and the cucumber salad. YUM

Fantastic place for dinner. 1st time at Supernormal, wait staff, servers and general floor staff were all great at their part in delivering food, making orders great team environment. Food was fantastic however i think the lamb and won't onsite were a little let down however the Scallops were amazing! Our group ordered 2 rounds. Drinks came quickly when ordered. Great place to share all dishes and hold a conversion. The stairs to the toilet will test you if you've been drinking a fair bit but that part of the challenge. We'd come back again for sure.

Despite its rather unassuming name, this restaurant is anything but ordinary. The interior is elegant and contemporary, with a bright, well-lit dining space that strikes a balance between modern sophistication and comfort. The long countertop seating accommodates a good number of diners, making it equally suitable for solo meals and group gatherings.
One aspect that stood out was the service. The staff were attentive without being intrusive, readily approaching customers to answer questions and offer recommendations—a level of hospitality that made the dining experience even more enjoyable.
**Last visit:** June 26, 2026, around 12:30 PM
Before arriving, I had already decided to order the Xinjiang Lamb after spotting it on Google Maps, only to find that it was no longer on the menu. A staff member immediately came over and recommended their **Chicken Broth Ramen** instead, priced at **AUD 24**. As someone who can never say no to a good bowl of ramen, the decision was an easy one.
The ramen was enjoyable overall, though it didn't quite leave a lasting impression. The chicken broth was clean and pleasant, but I found myself hoping for a deeper, more pronounced umami profile. The noodles were cooked softer than my personal preference—I generally prefer a firmer, more al dente texture.
The toppings, however, were excellent. The grilled chicken was juicy, tender, and full of flavor, while the wontons had a satisfying chew and were clearly well-made. These components elevated the bowl and made for a satisfying meal despite my minor reservations about the broth and noodles.
Overall, I had a very positive experience. Between the inviting atmosphere, attentive service, and promising menu, this is a restaurant I'd happily recommend. I'll certainly be returning to sample some of their other dishes on my next visit.
